WOWWWWWWWWWWWW, that is just amazing
been stuck on a sand bar just up from there, yep, lost my chair over the side, just leaned over the side of the boat and picked it up.
You aint kiddin just went across the dam and there aint no water at the north end of the lake. This is crazy
normal winter pool....................just .6 below rule curve
I don;t see ole Timmy in the pic. Looks like a great spot for him to be out there with his 1 pole
Not enough junk in that ditch...Ditches I fish look like a jungle...so I can sneak up on emThumbs Up
Looks like the same size area I would be fishin, though...and catchin, I might add.. got to have some trees to hide behind for when they bitin so good you have to hide from em to put your jig on
Crappieman101 is this more your style? Still Grenada and still shallow.
I could wade for days and days there...
I GOT to get me some waders. Bigger mentioned Bee lake and I'd like to just put waders in the truck and then just drive up somewhere and fish without taking the boat. Dang over $3 a gallon gas is starting to get rough
which landing is that with all the stumps out from it
What happens if you slip down with those waders on? Or fall in a hole?
it looks like right now you could wade across most any of the resavors around here right now.
I think the shutoff date for the spillway is about the middle of March but I got a feeling they gonna suck the bottom out till then.Heard on the new's the other day that when the all the snow up above us start's melting their expecting massive flooding down the Ms and other river's,said it would be like getting a 10-12in of rain in 1 day.So you better belive the COE will be ready to hold water.
That is Choctaw landing.
The Mississippi River is gonna be real messed up when it finally thaws up North. they're saying it'll be some of the worst flooding up North in a long time
That ain;t the reason it's going up. The big oil companies are PO'd about the no offshore drilling deal and they're raising prices to put pressure on Obama so he'll lift the offshore drilling ban. I wish I had a company that had a 85% profit margin and could hold the country hostage if I had a bad hair day
what Don Don said. x3
speak the truth ole brother don...big oil and bigger gubment aggrevate the snot out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sad thing there is not a dang thing we can do about it. What ya gonna do, stop buying gas?
i ain't buying as much of it, can't stop completely until my horses get here.
The MS River flooding won't help the COE lakes raise their water levels
Watch out for the gators at Bee...
yea it will if the Mississippi river is coming up the coe will shut the spill ways off and hold the water from the rivers and creeks that feed them there for bring the water level in the lake up and kinda quick at that. Thats the whole reason the lakes were built is flood control there is alot of water going thru them spillways every day and when they do shut them all the way off you can almost watch the water rise.
If that's the case I haven't looked but they well be coming up. But 175 cubic feet a second is still a lot of water not compared to what it's is usually but still alot.
Arkabutla rose, from 12 PM yesterday to 12 PM today....02 feet...at that rate with no rain it will take 50 days to come up one foot...without rain and a good bit of it, these lakes will not go up much.
The MS River could go up 25 feet and it would not matter.
OH BOY, did you have to break out the calculator for that Tim? hehe
I don't know everything nor do I work for the Coe but just my $.02 I thank they wil come up as soon as the river does and in time we will see.
I'm wishing and waiting on that 3 inch rain that we need awfully bad...
DD I needed 2 calulators to figure that oneRofl I ran out of toes quickly.
Gas is at $2.6112 on the wholesale market...look for it to be up at the pump 10-15 cents in a few days.
oh that's just great!!! thanks for the good news
With the lake as low as it is now that trickel their letting out mean's alot and if we get some rain they'll open it up some more. For some reason March 21st is stuck in my head as the shut off date on a normal yr but if they suspect flooding they will keep it open longer. Then with my luck we won't get rain after shutoff like 3-4yrs ago the fishing sucked that yr but the next was good because of all the grass a bushes that grew in the low water yr.
