Just got off the phone with a fellow that saw a 2 man limit (60) of crappie caught today. The guys were single pole jig fishing at Rose's Bluff. There were bouncing jigs off the bottom in 16 FOW.

Now IF you telling the Truff to us, does this mean you'll show up Saturday?
I'm telling you exactly what was told to me! It came from a source I trust! I have gotten several other reports I'll keep secret for now!!!!
I'm not going to commit to anything Don. If I'm reading the rules for your tournament right you will only be paying out 1 spot for every 5 boats. Well it just doesn't seem like the payback is worth the effort. If only 9 boats show up the top dog will be the only one getting paid. Also it doesn't make sense to me that the registration is at Tommy's but I have to drive to the other end of the lake to weigh. I would have more in it than I could win!
We really did our part and joined the MCC. Torch/Sat, Maj. Me and Nessa, Bigger/Vic. Feelay. You stayed on us and on us and we joined up. Your turn now to support us like we have you. Do what ya wanna do though, I'm going, fishing it and having alot of fun fishing with some sho nuff good people and good friends
Don't worry MS Slab, if you come and fish, we won't make you talk to DD.
Wannabe...
Don I'm not sure why you think you did me a favor personally by joining MCC. I don't get anything out of new members joining other than the satisfaction of bringing in new members that enjoy crappie fishing. All I ever did was promote the club I'm a member of that puts on crappie tournaments to guys that were interested in fishing tournaments. If you took it as me staying on you about joining than I apologize because that was never my intention. I completely understand why the CDC tournaments mean so much to you as you have time invested just as I do in MCC. I also believe if you choose to travel to tournaments and see what kind of expense I put into it you will see why I'm concerned about my chances of payback. I agree you will be fishing with some fine folks and having a good time doing it. I haven't ruled out that idea of fishing it I just plan to weigh all my options!
Hey wannabe don't worry if I don't fish the tournament I plan to give you all my secret reports. I would love to see you get some redemption around here!!!!
Hugh, I've been hitting tourneys for a couple years now and yeh, I KNOW how much they cost. When we go to say Grenada and fish.
$75 truck gas
$25 Boat gas
$15-$20 Minners
$50 Entry fee for CDC or $90 MCC
$50-$60 Hotel room
$50-$75 for meals
$32.95 VODKA lol
and about another $25-$30 in incidentals
so that's over $300 each tourney when I fish a tourney. I understand it bud, just this is a home lake tourney and you can sleep in your own bed and a very short drive is all.
Ya know, I always did like that MS Slab feller. LOL.
Wannabe...
Don also just out of curiosity why can't you change the weigh-in site to the 43 area? I know you said that you told people it was at the Cock of the Walk but don't all those people have to come to the registration. You could tell them then the weigh site has changed. I don't like making changes on tournament day either but we have had to do it on occasion and we used the registration to let the fisherman know.
OH NO me and holic agree on something!!!! hahaha
pretty much cause I got 15 different people trying to get me to change things from here to there or from there to here and I got tired of changing things. The only reason it's at Tommys now for registration is that a few asked for it. It was gonna be all at Cock of the walk to start with. All this is about to stress me out, I see why Bigger said to heck with it and I ain't even made it through 1 tourney yet. It's at the Cock of the walk for weigh in and Tommy's for Registration POINT BLANK. Oh, somebody brang me a drank, I need one now after there last 2 weeks LOL LOL These tourneys are supposed to be more FUN than anything else. If you win, you win, if you don't Oh well, I'll get you next time. That's kinda been the motto for the CDC tourneys. That and having a awesome time with some great folks, yeh WB, you're in the group to
Just asking but why can't we pay say 1 place for every 3 boats? I thank it would help getting more people to show if there is a chance to win money and not have to win the whole thang. If we have more boats fishing that would make up for the higher pay.
Also I have no idea about where any thang is at that lake so someone is gonna have to let me fallow them to weigh in.
Yeah, while we're changing stuff.........Bwahahaha We gonna run DD off on a rail fellas..Yeeehaawww.
We set it up 1 place for 5, to be ahead of the curve as far as other tournaments, 1 in 3 just dilutes the payout on the top by spreading the $ further down. I mean, heck, finish first out of 18 boats and you'd end up with only $630 to pay out to 6 spots. I finally decided on 1 in 5 as opposed to the standard 1 in 10. The thinking is that if you win in a small tournament, at least you'd have a shot to come out ahead on the day.
Wannabe...
Ok that works just asking didn't know why it was set up that way. Now who is gonna let me fallow to them to weigh in I thank I can find the ramp but that may be pushing it.
Actually, if it was one of the old timey fj's, we only paid 1 place for the first ten boats and 1 place for every 5 boats there after. We used to have fj's just about every week=end we didn't have a tournament. I kept Paul Johnson in beer money.
That's sayin alot Morris LOL
Blue, you make 9 that said they are fishing it. Got 3 to 5 more that are MAYBE. One more and we have 10 and 2 payouts PLUS a big fish pot. We'll make sure you're hooked up bud, don't worry. Least point you in the right direction
I wish we did have more I really like fishing with you guy and gals.
Thanks DONDON I should be hard to miss with my new stickers.

Dondon, the very werst thang you could do is try to please Erriebody. Dont go changin nuthin fer nobody. Ain't nuthin werse than changin the rules fer a few. Whizz on em. Ifn they fesh great. Ifn they dont great. Ok I'm off my soap box now.
Oh yea, it was kinda ignerant of you to make em drive half way cross the state to weigh, but don't change it.
This kind of crap is what bust clubs WAO. (Wide a Open) Trust me I know. You doin a good job with the tourneys so fer. Good luck with the rest of the schedule. Wait, y'all ain't feshed one yet. Oh well, it's gotta get better.
Miss Slab, here YOU go wanting the CDC guys to change something they got set up and it was YOU that was against changing something on the MCC tourney just last week. Please get in a srtaight line and quit talking out of both sides of your mouth PLEASE. And this is all that i will say about changes. I will fish some of your MCC tournaments up this way.
So... Was this fishing report today? Or two years ago? The date says 08.. Either way... I ain't believing it with no pics...
DoubleG
Thats right Miss Slab's fishing report says 2-16-08.....3 years ago. Ha !
Y'all both need to show up at Tommy's and sign up. Have a good breakfast and go fishing. If you don't catch fish, blame it on Minnerman because he's the one telling DD not to change anything. Complain loud enough and he might buy you lunch. I will say this but I ought not to, this is the only tournament that is screwed up. As I said before, Rookie error. Maybe he will learn.
Oh, by the way, don't be listening to somebody elses fishing report. Get off your kister and go find your own fish.
Oh yea, what time are we signing up and are we doing it inside Tommy's? They won't mine, MCC has done it for years. Beats the hell out of a truck tailgate.
WB is the one taking the money so he'll have to answer that. I know they won't mind it being inside after seeing that crowd last Saturday. Every seat in the house was full up.
I mighht be able to convince him.
I'll be there at 5:30 but come about 6:15, I'm driving to where I'm putting in
Coachnomo - You are absolutely correct about my stance on changing tournaments. I will always vote to keep tournaments as posted unless there are dangerous conditions (weather or high water). I will never vote to change a tournament because the bite is off! As far as making site changes on tournament day sometimes this has to be done. I don't fault Don for not changing what he has set and I surely don’t expect him to make a change for me!
Also I just noticed my report says '08. The report was indeed from yesterday 2/16/11 sorry for the mistake! I know of several more people on the lake this morning but wannabe gets those reports!
This is my first one, just give me time and I'll get it right. When a tournry is on your home lake, you tend to think about everything to much. Yeh, that includes places to fish
