We had a chance to get on the lake for a little work. Drove 400 stakes in 6 to 10 ft of water. The video doesn`t have any sound (my first video). Hope this helps your stake bed building.

Looks good. I'm driving my own beds so I can appreciate the hard work.
Alot of work but they pay you back for years to come, great video.
how do you plan to fish your stake bed, vertical jig or troll over the tops ?? are those tomato stakes you're using?
Would pvc work instead of wood?
ah, good ole backa sticks. GL, hope they produce for ya.
Good idea. I especially liked how you use the anchors to keep stakes staggered.
hello guys i am new to this site and am thinking of building some type of structure. i love fishing for crappie but have recently been looking into fishing for bluegills.. How do you find the best spot to put the beds at, and i watched your video and it was very good what was the white tube you were using to drive the stakes in.. i am trying to get as much info as possible and from skimming through this site this is definitely where to get it....thanks
The driver was made out of PVC pipe. First we started with 3" pipe X 32". Then we gluded a 3" coupling, then a 3"X1 1/2" bushing. In the bushing I gluded a 1 1/2" female adapter. I cut a block of hard wood to slide up the 3" till it hit the bushing. The wood acts as a hammer. The handle is made of 1 1/2" pipe cut in 5ft lengths with a male adapter on one end and a female adapter on the other end. This way you can add as many sections as you need. I can drive up to 20ft deep. I did not drill any hole in the 3" pipe (some do). By not drilling any holes the 3" traps air and pushes the driver back up without effort.
Thanks for the video. what holds the "hammer" in the bushing? How far do you drive the stakes?
Guys, THAT is a heck of a GOOD idea! Am SERIOUSLY impressed!
Good video...enjoyed it.
