I'm looking for extra (LEGIT) income and was wondering if anyone knew of anything like this that wasn't a scam.

I said, Legit..... guys.... legit!
I am not an accountant with a degree, though (only have a 2 year assoc. degree). I'm checking into some bookkeeping jobs but I like Sat's idea....... not the
CAT HOUSE idea..... but the little work, big pay idea! :)
I've been an insurance agent, legal secretary, admin. assist., and now a CFO for going on 11 years.
CN, I knew when I read your topic that this would be entertaining :)
What can I say? I do what I can......... :)
And don't tell me paintin' cranks, either, Maachuu! JackB won't hold still enough to paint! He's the only CRANK I know! ;)
Processing is about all I know that is legit. You've got a insurance and accounting background. Bound to be an independant insurance agent that could use some help with paperwork that you could do from home if you know any local agents. Bookeeping and taxes don't require a CPA license, but does help in selling your services. Another avenue is medical billing, but ya kinda sorta need an inside track to make it profitable and of course, ya gotta know what you're doing.
Hang all that. Just tell that worfless two bit brother in law of mine to get up off his duff and pick up a second job.

Hey Maachu, Brang yo butt on down and fish the Barnett FJ man
Kitten, check with the state midicade dept, they hire at home people here.
Jim you are one sharp cat! You hit the nail on the head! If you are real good at raising money, I'd run for office. You get to keep the proceeds! Leave it to the politicians
!
CN, my sister does some billing and insurance processing for a group of doctors. I think she makes around 40, but she is at home and works her own schedule. So you may want to snoop around some of the larger doctor type organizations around your area.
Before ya know it Pat.....you will be too busy working to go fishing :)
No rest for the wicked. The VA $ still hasn't materialized ten months later. :(
NO!! it's not. You said something about the corner of fifth and main.
Hey CN. I have several employees that work from home. Technology today let's us ring a business extension phone connected to a computer we install at their house. With presence technology it is really hard for anyone not actually in the office to know the employee is not there and our customers never know. The hitch is we always have to train a new person in the office and they actually go home to work after maybe a year. I then like them to come to the office a couple days a month. I have an employee that moved from MS to Arizona 3 years ago and very few people even know she moved.
This was not to try and get you to come to work for me but know when you are searching that many companies have work from home positions now days. HP, Kyocera, IBM, etc etc. Mostly technology companies so far.
I fount it. Here ya go CN. You could be jus like grandpa Sat

Can you go into business at home doing book keeping? I know of some folks around here that keep the books straight and up to date for a lot of the local businesses. It sounds good anyway some of them do this for a number of companies....its like the more you do the more you make. I don't know....just thinking out loud here.
I'm checking into that aspect, too, G. Thanks. But I want to take the plunge and move to the other house at Clinton and I need to keep a cash flow. I'm going to either have to find a comparable job there or start some at home work now that I can build on and make the move. I'd prefer to have something fairly solid before I make the move.
