I have heard of using many things for bait but this was a new one for even me. I am curious if any one has ever used it ? The video shows how to make it with scent.

Whether it works or not ... it's probably not a good idea to use it. It's really only animal & vegetable fats, water, and some other minor ingredients. With that in mind ... why not trim the fat off of any meats you buy ... freeze it ... and use that ?? You'll be doing yourself a healthy favor, and you'll probably catch just as many catfish, if not more.

Heard of it all my life...............but I aint baiting any hooks with SOAP!:D
Yes I have and yes it works.
It will work for channels.
ive tried this before and had some succes, but it never paid off like a fat shad or mooneye. fish with bait, wash your hands with soap! lmao!
If it eats the soap, you know it will be clean.
Used ivory on trot lines caught blues, channels, and a few flatheads.
The old timers used a soap called ZOTE, to bait trot lines.
We made a small miter box and used a hacksaw blade to cut the bar in appropriate sized chunks, then drilled a hole for the hook. The soap dissolves and leaves a scent trail on top of the water. It works pretty good on trotlines & jugs.
Try a cheese slicer.
It works
My grampa used it n I have too
