Do a search for that and you should find some threads with pictures. Maybe tying station or tying area or man cave or things like that.
Here is one...

Just finished my new fly tying station from a roll top desk. The vise would not fit on the desk top so I fabricated a bracket to replace one of the drawer knobs to accept the vise jaws. Sure is alot better than the small computer desk I was usuing. Now I have plenty of drawer space for materials.

it will only get bigger my whole basement is full of stuff it consumes me lol
How do you like the Dan Vise?
Nice Len, looks great. Mines under construction, hope to have pics in couple weeks.
I have a full sized desk in the basement and every part of it is filled with tying tools vise and materials plum full. I am using a peg board also as my collections keeps growing. As much as I like to tye if I keep this up I am going to have to buy a 10'x10' shed. I have not ordered any tying stuff from any where for about a month and a half and I am not low on anything but I feel like I am getting the DT'S from not getting anything

This is my work station. It serves more than one function. If you look you can see the pile of holsters waiting to be finished. In be bottom left of the picture you can see holsters waiting to dry. The bock in the center of the table is a tooling block. The rag on top of it catches dripping dye. I take off the rag and use the top to work on jigs or flies. The vice comes off when not in use and I have a second vise bracket on the computer bench to the right of the work bench. It is the black thing on the left side of the computer desk. You can see the air compressor on the shelf in front of where I sit. I use it to hook up to my powder paint spray gun.. To the left you can see the blue box with switches and plug ins on it. I have the box hooked up to a foot switch. The vacuum is plugged in to the left plug and the vacuum pump to the right switch. When I hit the foot switch they both come on. If I need to use the vacuum I reach over and turn off the air compressor. When I am grinding with the Dremel I unplug the air compressor and put the Dremel plug in.
Organize?
This is an old pic and the lighting just won't work for an updated one right now, but this is it. The wife bought the desk for Christmas of '09, and I got the rack of drawers on the floor that also has a dozen rod holders that I can't use or the dogs will splinter the rods when they run by. For my birthday this past year She bought me a set of material drawers that stacks on top of the desk. She's good to me. This works good for me, and it lets me put things up and close the front to keep things where they belong, or others out. Always thinking of improvements.
That is what I call making the most of what you got. Love it
here is my area , the wife let me move into den I'll have to get neew pictures nice having own room have tying station and a pouring and painting area and can leave it all out now and just shut the door no more hearing her complain about cleaning up desk!Attachment 53721!Attachment 53720!Attachment 53719
Looks great everyone! ok, so i tie in my attic and pour my own jigs, but i have to bring everything down and pour outside because my attic doesnt have very good ventalation. it has 2 vents at the top and i was think about making some sort of hood for my desk that sucks air out of the attic through the vent. does anybody have any suggestions? i was thinking 2 small box fans one for push one for pull. maybe a large square funnel shape for the intake above my desk, some hose leading to the fan(like a vacuum) and then mounting the fan to the vent.
sounds like that will work , I put a box fan in the window when I'm pouring ,blowing out
so your saying it would be better if the fan was in the hood pushing the air through the pipe rather than having the fan suck it through the pipe.
well you can sure tell you guys are married there's not even a speck of dust around your tying stations.
Here is another thread.

All my stuff is in a box. Ipull it out and put everything on the kitchen cabinet top. I have my vise mounted on a board that I stick under the box to hold it down. When I get through I just pack it all up back in the box.
i finished the hood today. i mounted the fan where it would blow out the vent. then i inclosed the fan, cut a hole a mounted a sleave to attach the duct. then i ran some flexible dryer duct from there to my hood and it works great! i cant even smell the pot when its on
Wow *those are sick *Mines nick nacks thrown together in my son and i's room. An old school 12" tv entertainment center on it's side for painting and some scrap wood for a desk
