Weekend fishing reports

Ok guys, i didn't fish this weekend. Lets hear how yall did and where did ya fish. I am headed back to Chotard this thursday to troll minnows. Hope its still on over there!!

Didn't make it feshing this weekend. Had things I HAD to do Saturday and Sunday was a hangover washout. LOL

I would like to report that I fished this weekend. Didn't do much good, but I think I figured it out. I saw 7 seagulls with my super secret double grip can't slip skirt in their grubby little feets. Somebody's been talking and the secret is out.

Well I didn't get to fish this weekend. I think it is the first weekend I have missed since the end of Summer. My wife was sick so I had to watch the little one. I did manage to get a trolling bar installed on Saturday. Then add two seat bases to the boat on Sunday while the baby was sleeping. My boat can with these two little seat cushions where sit to drive the boat. On those long summer days pulling cranks, my back would kill me after a while. I like to sit behind the console to watch the SI and contours map. Now I will have a nice cushion seat to lean up against while I drive. I can pretty much take the square seat cushions out of the boat now and use my two big seats where ever I need them. Not real sure why G3 boat didn't do that in the first place but I think I will like the upgrade. Here are some pictures:

I went, I caught a limit. My tournament partner went to Chotard yesterday, said he caught 31 big fish.

Pert fair riggin' for a fella named after a turkey. And I don't even see where the duct tape shows none a'tall.

Mine was rigged similar, but used the seat slides. Never understood why they didn't use seat bases like yours so you could reuse the seats. Also the swivel would come in handy when you're pulling.

Thanks WB.. I think it will be a rear end and back saver also. I don't know what it wasn't already made like that either. Those seat cushions get in the way if you are fishing on the back platform. I have come a long way from not wanting to drill into the boat, to cutting an almost 3"x3" square in the aluminum to install these seat bases. A jig saw will cut through that aluminum like butter! Took a little nerve to do it but glad that I did.

Good upgrade. And I agree. Shoulda came from the factory that way. Now...that's one less excuse.:o:D

I did fish Okatibbee Sat. and kept 13 and on Sun. I kept 8. Caught a lot of dinks.

Fished Deer Park across the river, caught 7 kept 5. Wishing I had my new trolling rigs. Will try again Sat if not sooner. The 3 females were full of pretty developed eggs already.
