Am I the only person that hasn't had a lot of luck with the really bright colors? I've only been pulling a year now, but most of my luck has come from the more muted colors
Yea like that, but I was thinkin bout puttin some silver undercoat on it, think I had read where it would bring them out a little more, I also have a flo orange transparent was thinkin bout shooting that over some silver. well Scott , now that you mention it, heck just send me them and I can save my paint :)
the 2 colors that stick out in my mind as being my somewhat most productive were, rootbeer and orange crush, course now I didnt exactly slayem with any color but those are the ones I remember. I for sure remember the orange crush, cuz my son caught 12 to my 1 one trip sincin he had the only orange crush :)
Scott, I painted me a couple what I thought would be the same color as "awesome pink" but they turned out a couple of shades lighter, not a lot but side beside you could tell. was wandering if I added a drop or 2 or red to the flo pink ifn it would darken my pink a little bit ?
My two most productive colors last year were pink/silver sparkle .....which is a light almost bubblegum shade of pink with silver glitter in it. The next best color for me was Orange Crush.
Yea it should darken it a little. The 2 pink ones in the pic are straight flourescent pink though I put about 3 coats on them. I think the fl. orange over silver would look good.
ES-I like the bright colors for crappie. Steve and I must have caught well over 500 this past summer pulling cranks and chartreuse, chrome, pink, bright red and bright green did good. I think the brighter, the better. You want something that's gonna get their attention. IMO
Scott is right on about the bright colors.....The brighter the better.....I have some bandits that are a more natural color and resemmble bait fish so you think they would like those best .....wrong....they like the far out colors that do not resemmble anything natural that they would normally see in the water.
You need to send them on down here G3 and Ill fix them for you.Quote:

This was one of my heavy hitters at Sardis.
This was also the color that I smacked yall in the face with at Enid and took your crankbaits. Only had one, but caught my last 5 fish including the "big fish" in the last hour before that nasty weather rolled in.
I had 5 poles out with all kinda mad cows, panks, truces and whatnot.
Scott, there is you one to try and copy, I for sure aint gonna try that LOL
ES, where did you get that "Goober Magic" ooops I mean "Goby" :D
They were all equally productive for me. One fish each. Obviously, I just need more colors. Hook me up maachuu.
Wannabe...
WB, for every 2 300's I paint, you send me 1 - 300 bandit and then you cover postage back to you and I will hook u up :) dont send more than 3 at a time :)
By my cypherin'.....that' don't sound like the free of charge sort of thing I normally am drawn too.....how bout I just get ES to send you some and you peel me off 1 out of 3 and keep 1 out of three for yourself and just double charge ES for postage? I'll even throw in a cheap shot at ES for nothing extra.
Wannabe...
