Yes, our douchebag Chicago government stuck it to us with no KY!!!
taxation with very little representation.
what kind of tax increase property or sales
Old.
Oh we have a lot of representation but not for the citizens....
How is duck hunting? I would love to come down this year but my Arkansas buddies aren't around...
The increase now goes to Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn, who supports the plan to temporarily raise the personal tax rate to 5 percent, a two-thirds increase from the current 3 percent rate. Corporate taxes also would climb as part of the effort to close a budget hole that could hit $15 billion this year.
The increase means an Illinois resident who now owes $1,000 in state income taxes will pay $1,666 at the new rate. After four years, the rate drops to 4 percent and that same taxpayer will then owe $1,333.
rich, one thing says personal tax. here that means on autos, boats, trailers, etc. then it says state income tax. you don't live in ill do you?
hello zettler,
when linda got sick i quit duck hunting to take care of her. been 4 years since i've been and i don't miss it a bit. i haven't talked with my duck hunting buddy over in mo in a while but when i did he wasn't killing a whole lot. i think he's about out of water now. if i were still going i'd get you in.
Sorry to hear about Linda. Your a good man.
With regard to taxes it is the personal income tax rate that increases to 5% and now Illinois has the highest corporate tax structure in the world according to the WSJ. The only redeeming factor was how the feds reduced what they take out for social security so its a wash....except when we get old enough to start asking for our benefits!
Just like everything else in this state WRONG! But you know what, it will never change. We are at the mercy of Chicago politics and government. It is a whole different world up there. It sucks to be from Southern Illinois because you have no say and very little representation in the MESS that goes on. First off....Quinn is an idiot. He got thrown into office.......(because someone got impeached and thrown out.....aka.....B J ovich.....aka...reality TV star.....aka......Crook!), and then he (Quinn) WINS THE NEXT ELECTION. The first WEEK of his new term he announces a plan to increase taxes! The first week!!!!! This is not going to get better. Illinois is on a downhill mudslide, and like California, .......how sad is that to be compared to California........WE ARE BROKE! So hold on to your booties, if you have any booties left, because our wonderful Chigcago government is going to tax your ace off and your going to have to like it......or move......which is what I am contimplating doing. We live in a state that is ran by Democrats that have a history of taxing and cheating at the peoples expense........time has proven it. And notice I said time has proven it. This is not a Democrat bashing session. This has BEEN PROVEN in this state. WOW! I think I am done.

Very well said.
Atleast there not closing parks again. That will be next, I didn't here of any cuts in spending but the parks will be first.
If they sold Stag at KY Lake
AMEN!!!!!!!!! I Am A Business Owner. Not only did I lose so much business with this banking SCANDAL, now I need to pay more taxes for the other full time job that I work at just to get by. ILLINOIS SUCKS!!!!! Enough Said. NLGD Stands for New Lenox Garage Door!!! Housing in Il. Sucks Time To MOVE!!!!
i thinking of moving and posting in the Indiana Thread before I get taxed for every post I make to a forum.
One thing to drive jobs away from IL this would be it. Wow The unemployment rate will go down because people have moved out of state to avoid paying these high income taxes.
Them lame duck Straw people did not have anything to loose.
The only people left will be the wellfare recepients, why do they want to move, we keep giving them money. It really makes me mad.
Don't mean to dwell on this subject, but, I took some time to write each of our "so called" representatives in our corrupt state. I know......before I get a lot of comments.......it probably will not help. But if we sit and say "taxation without representation", I thought it would be a good idea to at least ask for the representation. It only took me about 15 minutes. This would probably be the right thing for all of us to do. Just a thought.

All I can say, is I am currently deciding where I am going to move to. It will definately be out of Il., and not just because of taxes, but I am tired of all the bull this state has to offer. I have had enough, so I am leaving and won't look back.
Similar thread posted on main board now moved to the off topic board...my reply
