with all of the pros at Chotard scouting out the bigguns. I had planned on going but I got slapped by the tournament director. I guess I'll just have to stick with fishing c.com tournaments. I know I will have more fun and meet a better quality of people.:D:D:D

Holic, I feel yo pain. We'll find out Tuesday at our club meetin ifn they gonna eliminate spider riggin in our tourneys. Some of um wasn't very happy with our method of feshin last year.
That's not gonna sit well with Scott. The "new" methods have cost several organizations some good fishermen. I was against spider rigging when it first came out. I learned to crappie fish with a cork and minnow at Sardis and when I moved to Jackson, I learned the art of jigging. Now, I would rather spider rig than anything. Pulling cranks and long lining jigs just ain't no fun to me. I've done both and had good success at different lakes but I enjoy easing around and watching that tip move.
Just be more money for Sat/ Torch and Nessa and me if you fish them Morris LOL OK and MAYBE Triton but not to sure on that boy
Scott got really whizzed when he heard the rumors. Sad thing is we didn't win but one tourney and Stevem won one tourney. We were in the money at all of our tourneys cept 1. The other sad thing is, we could prolly have beat most of em single poling.Quote:

Minner, do you remember the club from Louisville that was going in the late 90's called Red Hills crappie club? They got mad about the trollers and started their club. 1 pole per person. I fished several of their tournaments and won 1 at Bee Lake but they folded about 4 years later. In order to have a good club, you need to let people fish the way they want to. Ain't no body gonna hurt a lake weighing in 7 fish. Back when Mid-South was going(25 years), we weighed in 30 and then 20 and then 15 and then 10.
Gaboman, one of the best likes I ever fished was West Point, GA. Had a blast.
That'd take a long dadgum time to weigh 30 fish if you had 25 or 30 boats in it. Just WOWWWW
The dead fish is why tournament trails started cutting back on the numbers. Like I told Gaboman, CUSA had a regional at West Point, GA and had 187 boats. There was a article in the sports section a few days later about the number of dead fish left behind. I helped scoop a bunch of dead fish for people to carry home and we still didn't get all. After I got my check, I left.
I don't remember the Louisville club. There was several dead fesh left at the CUSA Classic two years ago. I wished they would let you keep em or turn em loose. Most of the time ain't nobody gonna take 7 fesh from Columbus, MS back to Columbus, Ohio or Georgia fer that matter. Or maybe even give them to people that come out to watch the weigh ins. I think the most we ever kept last year in a club tourney was 40 sumptin to give to a feller that wanted em.
Oh well it'll all work out. If they outlaw it we'll just take our toys (sponsorships) and play somewhere else. May even go feshin the same days they have their tourneys and see how many we can ketch. See how they like that.

MCC used to take the fish caught out to the Baptist Childrens Village. Found out later that the staff was taking them home. Several guys around here take them to the VA home and feed the Vets.
