I'm not going to worry about gills, scale pattern or anything like that. All the lakes I fish in are stained and I think color patterns and stripes will be more important that anything else
Really a great start. For scales go to Walmart or go to your minnow bucket and get you net. Perfect size for the scales. It's what the pro's use. Here is a link to a site that has a special forum for crankbaits. Make sure to look at the gallery. They do some fantastic paint jobs. It is also a great site for getting a question answered about how to do something. http://www.tackleunderground.com/com...13-hard-baits/ Keep up the good work. You can use a couple of closepins to keep the net in place as you do a bait.

those are some I picked up from blueball, ebay and a guy over on the texasfishingforum. all of those are 300's bandits except one that I have had for years and found it in my old box, not sure what kind it is. SteveV told me about some on ebay that look a lot like the the bandits and was able to get them for 1.20 each shipped. figure I can at least practice on them and maybe they will run decent while pullingQuote:
