Thanks to Jacobs Baits. I am now pouring my own jigs for me and my cousins. They are 1/16 oz heads, powder-coated then tied with bucktail! I don't think we will be running out of jigs anytime soon!!!

They look good.....kinda remind me of a Jelly Jig.
String great looking jigs. I have a question though if you would not mind helping an old guy out. What is the secret to getting the grub body on over your buck tail. Have wondered about that forever and to embarassed to ask anyone. Thanks in advance. And I dont thing you guys will run out of jigs any time soon.
cray, I think he ties the bucktail first and then places it in a mold and pours the grub around it. Thats the way snakeRiver does it anyway.
Thanks G3. makes sense to me. Just one of those things I have wondered about for years and wouldn't ask about.
Those sickles are some more sharp.;) Good looking jigs you have there.:)
nice-looking baits you have Rick did a good job on that mold. I hope that you will enjoy it.
Great looking bait!
They look good. Will surely catch fish.
looking good...
That is the way they are made. The hair is tied on and then the jig is placed in an injection mold and forced in over the the hair. Nice looking jigs.
how much does a mold like that cost?
50 dollars for a 6 cavity mold
never knew. was always curious...
I like them.
The thing is, once you buy one like that you will want to buy others. Do not get started unless you want to spend a couple thousand dollars. Just sayin
Snake, if I had 10,000 to spare I would sure have it tied up in more molds.
what kind of hair material is that and where did you get it. Also I sent you a pm
that was a heck of a good idea you had snake lol :)
oh and great looking baits, the powder coat on the heads are very well done as well
