Wonder if that's a Gar or a big ole cat
-
I dunno... But if you compare the school of stripers to the big fish.. There is a big difference. The stripers I was catching out of those schools were 3 to 5 lbs. On the screen the dots are real small for them. What ever those big fish are... they have to be huge!

Bet ya it's a big ole Gar man

I refuse to discuss these pics as they were posted in a tacky and tasteless fashion.
However, without speaking directly about the pic, as far as what the big fish might be....has ES fished this lake recently? If so, it could be his pride and or manhood drifting in the current...unused and lifeless. If it's square looking, it's prolly his mancard.

WB - if I post them where you can see them it makes the pictures tiny.... Then you can't see any of the detail. Plus I don't know how.....

Wb, I too will not comment on the pics. Purty sure my dyestructions say the optimal operating speed is between 3-5 mph. Now this is bout the 17th set of pics I've seen where the speed is less than 2 mph. I'm sure somebody done tolt em to move on a little faster. Wait, I think I did. I'd be skeert to say when the photographer is blatantly breakin the rules.

I haven't found the first fish that will bite a crankbait at 3-5 mph... Long as you got your screen scrolling speed set right... The speed don't matter much. Those pictures are clear clear clear!!!!! Now what!

But those fesh are long long longer than they really are are are. Your screen scrolling speed has very little to do with how fast your transducer passes an object and forms the picture of it. Why do you think they state there is an optimal speed? Just because they can? No it's fer a reason. And the reason is, is because they have spent countless hrs spearmintin with this thing so you don't have too. Oh yea, they won't hit a Minner runnin 3-5 mph either.

If the school of stripers were any short short shorter... They would not show show up..... on the screen screen screen....
I do agree that the big fish are long... but they were taken at the same speed. If they were swimming with the boat it could make for an elongated view but would the shadow be elongated also. Probably... who know... I agree faster is better but I only take screen shots when I am fishing.

Yep they will hit a crank going over 3 mph.
-
That they will. First time I pulled cranks was with the old Nitro fish and ski and that was at the fruit jar last year. Seems Nessa and I got 2nd place and we never got down below 2.6 MPH the whole time
