I have not installed it in the boat yet. Been waiting on Major to tell me how far apart his are.
Why not just ask EZ his own self? EZ knows....G3 only thinks he knows.
Said another way.....EZ recently posted an instructional tip on building your own Okuma spool spacer compete with pichurs right down to how many inches of tape it took.
G3, on the other hand, recently posted about the joys of frolicking in the fields with free range boat trailers and only bothered to post a pichur of the hole in the garage door. He didn't even have the decency to post a video of him falling on his keester.
Now, I ask you.....which one has more of an eye for detail.
Yeah, I thought so too.

I just remember the different length rods rode good in Maj's holders. I think I remember EZ had three piece racks in his boat and Major only had two....thats why I wanted Maj's spacing......but I think about 6 and a half ft. will work ok.
bb....my new boat hook up method is bullet proof.... you can believe that.
thanks minner finally somebody with some smarts read this post
You're welcome. Ya know tho, you could mount em bout 2' apart, but they'd flop too much or you could mount em bout 15' apart, but it won't hold a 14' rod. The way I figured mine was put my shortest rod that I wanted it to hold and my longest rod that I wanted it to hold then kind split the difference. It's so simple, even a DD could do it.
Mine are 9' apart and I don't get any bounce on the 2 to 3' of tip off the back, nor any flex in the center even at high rates of travel......since you made me feel bad about not posting anything helpful and all.

do you ever.....i mean really?
Maj has a Pro Crappie 175 and he mounted his 6' 6" apart. Works GREAT. I do have 3 on mine,,,, couple reasons,,, when I re-did my boat and added the storage it took up the space I would normally put one of them, and just trying them out to see if 3 are really needed, and last but not least, I just keep on making them and trying to make them better, if possible.
Ok...here is my first ignert question
1. Can WB really catch more than one fish without the help of a marvelous guide?
Answer is...no, not really. Hummm, this answering thing ain't all that hard.
O, by the way, I made a couple extra line savers for the 15DX, anyone changing out their line want on, while supply last, send me a pm. Could be as cheap and FREE...
I am not going to ask about WB.
It appears that the 6 ft. 6 in. spacing is just right for the combination of 8 ft. ,10 ft., 11 ft., and 12 ft. rods.
How much would you space em for 16's
