Looks like they are still biting a little. I really want to get back out there soon. How long are these guys fishing to get their limit? I'm assuming all day. Thanks for the report Dan. Hope to see ya out there soon.

the boat in the pic fished from daylight till 1:30 other catches vary around 5 hrs or less. two boats today left had caught 10 each in 3hrs. 2 guys in 1 boat also today caught 25 in 4-5 hrs with 2- 2lb fish.

I had my oldest son and a nephew out there this afternoon for about 4 hours. We brought home 27 w/ a few dandies. Again with the chart/white jig. They had a blast, but also made a ton of racket lol. I apologize for the noise if anybody that reads this was out there - they were pumped.

Here's an attempt for pics. If they show up, the first one was their bigger fish from tonight and the other is from a couple of trips ago.

I had the pleasure of seeing these young men having a large time yesterday. They ask me on the way out of the pool how many I had and quickly told me how they were doing. Its good to see little guys having that much fun while fishing.

Them boys will have memories of fishing with dad for a lifetime and tell stories to there buddies that will start out something like this. I remeber this time with dad we caught. and the story goes on from there but they will always remember those days fishing with dad. I love to see dads taking there kids at a young age cause I can tell you they grow up fast I have some fine 15 and 17 year old boys and they still like to go but not like they use to. Good job fishing and parenting. I'm headed to conway in the morning you think this cooler weather will slow'em down? Can a fella catch'em vertical jigging? This is what I do. or is trolling the trick? Can you give me some tips?

Thanks for the kind comments guys. Craphead - the only way I fish is verticle jigging. That thump is addictive! The weather might slow em a bit, but I don't think it will too bad until all the rainy/cloudy weather is gone and the bright/clear weather sets in. But then again, it's fishing so who knows? I've caught everything verticle jigging in the heavy cover in the creek and pool and the majority of those on a chart/white jig (either 1/32 or 1/24) tipped w/ a crappie nibble. I'm a dirt fisherman, so if they get deeper than 2 or 3' I'm usually not catchn em! I have seen some guys catch em good over there in the deeper water tho. I'm gonna try to get over there tomorrow after lunch myself if work will allow it. I can't speak for the early bite b/c I've only been able to fish the afternoons/evenings this fall. Good luck!
