Who do you think does the best job of making a weedless jig mold at a reasonable price? Approximately how much should you expect to pay?

First look at Do-It and see if they have what you want. If they don't check with Robert at Crazy Angler but know what you want before you call him. You're gonna want to have what kind of head, what kind of groove for the hooks so that it'll take several sizes. You're going to want to know what kind of collar if any, small barb or larger barb for holding plastics. If you're gonna powder paint you're gonna wnat to make sure you have slots for pegs where the weedguards will go, molding pegs so you can powder paint, cure, tie and then pull the pin then glue the weedguard in Because as most of the guys who mold will tell you no matter how hard they try to cure powder with a weedguard in 9 out of 10 times you'll melt the guards.
The more info you have based on what you want the better Robert can help you and make the best mold for you. I t will also help him give you a better quote.

All the molds I have are Do It Molds. Fatman, good advice, I don't want to waste his time. Sounds like a good place to check out. I'll be giving them a try.
I may start another thread about how to powder coat & still use Y guards. I've already got some good ideas from you.
Thanks again for your help.
What kind of molds (e.g. RTV silicon, etc) does Crazy Angler make?
Thanks,
Pete
Bob at CAT uses DO-IT blank molds. I have three of his molds. One sunfish jig mold , one 1/100 1/80 combo ball head and one 1/64 and 1/32 combo ball head.
All three work flawlessly. Anyone who has poured small ball heads can tell you they can be a bugger with regular molds. Bobs molds for the smaller ball heads are the best I have ever used. For a custom mold I would not go anywhere else.
Wow! That is dirt cheap for an aluminum mold. I will have to check him out. I have a few ideas I am thinking of moving forward.

Robert is top notch at it!!
Everytime i put a weedless jig on i end up missing fish. I always end up switching back.
Id recommend before you buy a mold your try a few weedless jigs to make sure you are happy with them, if you have not already.
I have some Do-It molds for jigs for which I may want some fairly simple modifications. Do you think that he would do those?
