I believe you would hook Positive terminal on battery 1 to positive terminal on battery two. Then Negative terminal on battery one to negative terminal of battery two. Then just hook the trolling motor positive to battery one positive... and trolling motor negative to battery one negative.
That way the batteries are in parallel and the trolling motor is in parallel.
Check me on this though.. that is my first guess at it.

Wire your batteries in parallel..........pos to pos and neg to neg...........this gives you 12 volts.
I got no idea. I was rehooking mine up the other day and saw a positive of one to a neg of another one. That was it as far as cross hooking them up that I noticed. I really have no need for 24 volt, just 12V that lasts a long time

AHH, I like pitures
Sometimes I think there is hope for DonDon. This ain't one of them times.

Wait a minute here.. You got a 12/24 motor.. you want to run it 12v so it will run longer using 2 batteries? Hummm do not think it will run longer hooking it up 12v on the batteries instead of 24v..
Everything held constant the motor should run longer hooked up 24v rather than 12v..
Did I miss something here?
Hey now, I'm TRYING TO learn bud. Just give me time and just remember that a year ago I didn't know what a cowling was
I was told by someone that by hooking them up parallel that it would last longer. This is someone that runs the TM pulling cranks and jigs so this person has them hooked up that way. I gots no real idea but thats what I was tolt
Please refer to my earlier statement. Twice a day for the rest of your life.

DD, you ever stop to wonder why they discontinued the 12/24v TMs? Maybe on account of them not being an advantage?
Look gewber, switch the thing to 24V and leave there. Ooooo, duct tape up the switch when you get done. There, now you can feel like you're contributing to the solution. Pffft.

on 24V I go way to fast and it makes to much noise in the water. Hey, maybe thats whats wrong with your rig. You make to much noise and it scares the fesh off? NAHHHH, They see you coming and are laughing to hard at you trying to catch them that they forget to eat your bait
Oh boy, here we go again with some DDism's
Does you TM have varible speed or 1,2,3,4 and 5 on the dial? If it's not varible, ask Santa (Nessa) to bring you a new one for Christmas. Junk the old one and get a Minn Kota.
by hooking 2 batts in parrallel for 12v you double your amp hour capacity and voltage remains 12v. by hooking 2 batts in serial for 24v you double your voltage but only have the amp hour capacity of 1 battery. kind of a 6 or 1/2dozen thing. but in DD's case he achieves the speed he needs.
A'ight DD. Listen to Wb and duct tape it onto 24v. Then take your prop off and cut one if the blades off ifn it's a three blade prop. Ifn it a 2 blade then cut only half of each blade off. This oughta slow ya down just about enuff.
OK SOMEONE is wrong, who is it. I don't need 24 volt. That sucker goes to fast easing around spider rigging. Yes I do have speeds 1-5 and on 24 volt, it's still way to fast
one word would solve this mystery.......TERROVA
Unlike you Triton, I'm PO man
I'm po too!!! this fishing habit has broke me!
Think we could get WB's bank to sponsor us?
WHY do I need to go 20 MPH with my TM? I don;t ever see a need to go faster than 2 MPH to be honest
man, I doubt it. He don;t have as much pull as he tries to act like
Go back to sleep Minner!
Dang minner....is that the best you can do???? This is DD we are discussing here.....you ought to be able to come up with something better than Poo...WB has all the Poo
Don, Put your TN on 12 Volt position and leave it that way and wire your batteries in parallel.
As G3 said, wire it up in paraell, stright 12 volt. You only need 24v when the water is rough or you are trying to get to another spot real fast. You don't have to have a Terrova, the Maxium with varible speed will do great. Besides, you can't have a Terrova with I-Pilot. We don't have the time to answer the questions that thing would generate.
crappieholic, that was pretty darn good right there
Good one crappiholic..
great one CH! :)
