Sorry about the boat colayn! Guess I'll just go it alone and hope for the best. Don't get this weather in Nov. very often. I'll be sure to post one way or the other.
Fished Thur, ended up with ten, finally found them late in the day on bluffs on robinson creek end in 18' to 20' fow. Tight lined minnows near bottom very slowly.
Thanks for info fishmike! Hope to have that good of luck. Maybe my last trip of the year. Don't do cold weather very well.
I'm heading to Green on Thrusday. Have not decided on which end to fish. I'm like Downwind, this may be my last trip. If I put in at lone valley I'll fish the channel up around the cliff on the right. I'll post on how I do.
Hunter~~Can't make to Green until Thursday myself so maybe I'll see ya around. 185 tracker boat. Probably be putting in at Lone Valley also.
Downwind, I'll be leaving Versailles around 7:00am, have to put the boy on the bus. I'll be putting in at Lone Valley also. White and blue glassport with a CDC sticker on back right side.
I'll be there at daylight. Blue and silver Javelin.

Guess I'm the first one back from Green. Ended up with 5 crappie and one 3lb green carp (that is still in the lake). Beautiful weather and it was good to end this years fishing while wearing shorts. Caught a bunch of small fish. Everything came off the bluffs ( Good call 1fishmike ) Water temps 57-59 and the water looked like it was still brown from turnover.
Sounds like Downwind had better luck. Fished the channel above the kids camp at the cliff on the left. Caught a bass and bunch small crappie using jigs. I think i'm going back tommorow with minnows. Had a lot of fish on the depth finder, but the keepers were not hungry. Still had a great day. Saw a lot of boats on the water. Did not see Downwind ( he must got there very early) but did park beside his truck. The only truck with Franklin tags.
It was a beautiful November day on the water. The water is still dark from turnover and the holiday had more boats on the water than I'm used to during the week. Ended up with 4 keepers, a bunch of 6-7 inch fish and one small channel cat. I started the morning on the flats in front of the campground but only connected with a couple small ones. Hunter, my graph was lit up with big balls of shad too and when I found the bait balls I would end up catching a fish about 10' down. Ran up towards Holmes Bend jigging minnow-tipped jigs near the channel until 2.
Go thru the cut and check the flat on the right. That's where they were at Sun. Lots of bait there, too. If not there check the wall on the left. Sorry, for not posting sooner!
Hunter~Fished the bluffs straight across from the boys camp. Stayed in 25-30 fow and fished about 3 cranks off the bottom with jig minnow combo. Like you all, marked a ton of fish just couldn't get the big ones to bite. Also tried the big flat up towards Holmes Bend but didn't get but one small fish.
I went down Wed. and fished a couple of hours and then stayed the night. On the water at daylight.
Tried again today (Friday).

Put in at Lone Valley about 8:45am headed up to the channel above the kids camp. Just like yesterday had a lot of fish on the fish finder. Fish 30ft down. I fished 20-25 ft. Cauht a boat load of small ones, had four keepers. Left about 12:45pm. Had a great time. When comming out of the ramp a small sail boat putting in. Boat traffic very heavey. I guess this is it for this year. COME ON SPRING!
oh naw .......its just getting good now !!! I aint stopping - rabbits one day when its good and chilli, then if it gets to warm then I'm getting my flat bottom boat out on somebody's water.............. yeah if I got to go down south to fish - I'm going
