Caution and Wolf Ramp
For those who might not be familiar with the ramp at old 49 at Wolf, there is an underwater obstruction about 8-10' to the right side (looking at the water, standing on the ramp), and out from the bank 10-12'. Not sure what it is but I have hit it a couple times. Had to have my prop fixed.
-
Thanks Maj. So put in on the left side of the ramp and you'll be good to go?
-
Don, the left side has a tree top in it. Use the right side but stay as close to the ramp as you can.
-
I heard it was a motor toter stuck up in the mud on the right side.
Wannabe...
-
It might be over there WB, had to buy a new trailer tire today too, had a inch and a half cut on the inside side wall.
-
OK, now you scaring me about going to Wolf
-
Maj that ain't sounding too good. I guess you went to BPS too.
-
Been to BPS several times lately. Bought some more stuff I didn't need.
-
It's a bad sickness, ain;t it
-
Well I appreciate the lunch invite. Boy you retired guys are something else. You, EZ, DD, and I need to get up and go.
-
Maj, where was that you said I could get those batteries at that were scratched or dented?
-
I feel your pain on the trailer tire. I got to get me a new one also. Turned into the subdivision too sharp on saturday and my trailer tire caught the stormwater inlet. Took a hunk out of the side wall. Not real deep but deep enough for me to worry about....

Seems it's always something.
-
Major, I think you may have found some of the parts to a Ford Explorer that went over the rail and landed in the lake last year. Sadly, one of our vets perished in that accident. He was on his way to his first job interview.
-
Dang, I'll turn on the SI,DI a little early next time there and see if it's a vehicle. That was a bad deal.

Go to Exide on HY 80 just east of Airport Rd. Goin east, take the right in front of Big 10, they will be on your left. They were out of the Seconds heavy duty trolling ones the other day. Need to call first. I've been using them for years with no porblem.
-
I have used exide but like you said, they were out. They get in a pallet and they are gone before the day is over. They usually run about $65.00. Sometimes they have the gel batteries.
