Yes they do catch fish. I have not been to the lake crappie fishing with them yet but I have tried them on the bluegill in the farm pond behind my house.....they will flat hammer it. I am using a blue body chartreuse tail jelly jig.
great catch
Glad to hear good reports on the baits

yellow chartreuse heads with red eyes with black dots.
I experimented with a needle and rubber today. Thanks Snake for your advice. Came up with these.

Those jigs look cool!!! What type of feathers are those? I could use some help myself, trying to do my own jelly belly jigs????? Any tips wpould be great!
hey ship what all types of tails do you offer with these jelly jigs?
I am out of the selling business. Retired except for what I make for myself and close friends. I am using marabou tails, Polaris Hair tails, and I go to Bass Pro Shops and get rubber skirt material for large mouth bass. I pull it apart and thread it into the jelly.
Hey Ship, do you use a half loop style needle? Kinda like a leather sewing needle?
Big needle. Big eye.
OK MIke.....explain the needle deal to us will ya
I am out of the selling business. Retired except for what I make for myself and close friends. All I have learned was from communications with Snake River. I buy the jelly bodies, and sickle jig heads from him. Then when I get them I just experiment. I am using marabou tails, Polaris Hair tails, and I go to Bass Pro Shops and get rubber skirt material for large mouth bass. I pull it apart and thread these materials into the jelly body using a very large needle. After that I trim the tail, trim the front of the jelly body where I pulled stuff through. Seal it (Sometimes both ends) with one drop of superglue and instantly attach it to a jig head. Place in a rack to let the super glue dry. That is it.

Looks good Ship....I wondered how you did that and now I know. Thanks for sharing that.
ship they look good...I wanna dibble in the plastic later on. Just got alot to do before i am able to though..Thanks for info it healped alot..
Do you have much trouble with the tail material pulling out when you thread the hook on? Jacobs has a new body mold out that you tie the tail material into a knot and insert it into the body; then pour the plastic. It looks to me you would have to be very careful not to hit the hook point on the knot when you thread the jig through the body. Any experience out there?
This bait is like the old Lindy's Fuzz-E-Grub which was good looking, colorful, and sexy to the crappies. It really attracts them when they are reluctant to bite. Tip with a Powerbait Crappie Nibble and hold on. I like it for non-agressive crappies. You can tell I like it because it is in my signature.
ship you did a fantastic job of demonstrating how those go to gather I hope everybody that's interested in those little bodies will take a look at the above fantastic job you did ship.
I had a chance to see first hand how mine look and react under water. Man oh man do they look great on a bare hook or on a 1/16 th jig. I am impressed. They still remind me of the Fuzz E Grub which caught a boatload of crappies. Thank you snake. I need some more red and some yellow chartreuse bodies.
It is what you have the most confidence in. Hair feathers and chenille hold scent longer than plastic alone. Weather will sometimes dictate how much action you get with plastics too. On the other hand there are some pretty good imitations of bugs and minnows in plastic.
My current "Go to" bait is a combination of soft plastic for the natural feel and a contrasting marabou tail for attracting qualities. This way I have the best of both worlds. Again it is what you have confidence in and what the fish are wanting that day. I am always fishing a double rig to give the fish choices in depth, color, lure, and size until they tell me something based on water clarity and weather conditions.
