Fixin to leave for weekend of R&R and just plain ole fishin.
Hope you have a good one Torch. I think I may give them a try at Greers tomorrow.
Have fun!!!
Have a good weekend Torch. I just brought my camper home from a week's stay at Okatibbee's Corps campground. It's hard to beat the fishing camp on wheels. LOL
Have fun torch
Just talked to Torch, had 2 keepers in the boat and 15 throwbacks. Said they have sucked out all the water from Enid and only two ramps are useable.
Which two ramps are usable?
Torch said the old ramp at the stste park by the restaurant and the ramp at the north end of the dam
If you use the old ramp at the state park you will get wet and muddy getting your boat in. Tried Long Branch and just ain't enough water. I guess they are going to suck it dry!
So is the ramp on the north side near the dam and the visitor center the only one that's useable?
Also anyone that uses Hernando Point at Butla really needs to start being very careful. I was able to launch but I had to back in so far that the rear wheels were almost in the sand to get my boat off the trailer. Not good.
Looks like its gonna be tough getting in and out of all the reservoirs this winter.
Dodgeman the Corps uses a rule curve to draw down the lake. They are on schedule so far but should shut the spillway down soon.
I put in at Hernando pt Saturday (before the rain). 1st time with my new ride (2 wheel drive), and yes I had to back about 8 ft down into the sand. Did a little spinning coming out without the boat. Made me clinch the cheeks abit. Will be using my 4x4 if I go again this weekend
the new ride is not 4wd? WTH were you thinking??? :eek:
CN.... I think his wife drives a 4wd :D
That's why I like Barnett. The water level will range from 296 in the winter to 297.5 in the summer. Never a dust storm. I have only seen the water level below 296 was when we had a bad drought back in 96 or 97. Got so bad that PRV talked about clossing the ramps.
Torch- there is a good campground at the 43 ramps behind Tommy's. They have their on ramp and pier.
I wouldn't sweat getting stuck in the new ride ES. Up there at Butla, I'm sure there'd be a burly man come along with a manly truck fairly shortly.
Wannabe...
And we he comes along to help don't pay any attention to the banjo music playing in the background.
got to love that banjo music
Once again, another thread jacked and turned into a beat up on ES thread. Even G3 hit me with a sucker punch
Yall just mad cause I catch fish
Can't prove it by me.
