just wondering if the crappie are in gold lake yet.
I haven't been or heard any reoports. But, If I was going this week, I would dip a jig or minner in the pads along the creek channel leading to the pool.

I'm going this coming Sunday working my way to the pool. I'll let you know how I do.
if you want to catch some fish go to peckerwood it is red hotttttt ..
I went to gold creek today caught 2 under the interstate bridge. talked to a few other people there all were catching 2-4 fish. water temp was 63-66. they are on the verge gettin hot me thinks.
I have never got to fish lake conway but plan to, and i know there are a lot of stumps in that lake so i know I would need to be careful in a boat but was wondering if ant one has used a 24ft pontoon there and did they have any trouble getting around stumps and such with that type of boat...
Fetmo has hit it on the head, good fish but low numbers. You will find me on Caney Creek on Lake Conway right now. To the guy asking about bringing a 24 foot pontoon boat to Lake Conway. My advice is don't do it.
I have to admit that I have thought about it too. But, I have a 16' stick steer that is difficult enough to manuver around the stumps. I see guys out there occasionally with 20' bass boats that get around OK. But, they knew the lake well. My advice would be to try Maumelle. You would have to hunt down a stump to hit. I proved to my self that there are fish there. Greeson or Greer's Ferry are good choices too.
Conway would be tough.
