Standard Crappie Jigs - Assortment of Colors - Tied in the last few days.
-
I think they look fine and I bet everyone will catch fish. Only thing I might add contructive is a couple of them look like the body is a little long. Right at the point is what I try to do.
-
Looks like you been busy tying. My pick would be the first and fourth jigs.
-
They all look good but I'll second a little shorter body. Nothin wrong with relieving stress by tying

All but one needs a cane with a red tip.... Other than that, they looks great. Everybody knows I favor a jig with eyes...

Almost too pretty to get wet.

I excellent job on your jigs I'm sure that you will catch plenty of fish with them. You do great work

Nicely done I like number 2 and the last one. Have not tried to mix white and pink but it looks like a winner to me. Have tied over a 1000 jigs since June 1st. and still see color combos that I don't have and ones that I would like to tie and fish. Some of them will work well and some are not good producers. That is part of the fun about rolling your own. I have found 5 patterns that work well almost every day and keep expeimenting to find the next hot jig. That is what makes this hobby fun. Some guys work on cars to get every bit of H.P. they can out of it We build jigs and hope to catch a basket of fish.

They look great. When you want a pretty box of jigs try to only wrap your body back to the same point for consistency's sake (though the fish don't really care). I don't go past the point of the hook.

Those ones w/ the blue heads are calling me....

Thanks for the comments, guys. I normally aim to stop the body above the point of the hook too. Guess I've gotten a little sloppy or carried away when I was tying on my chenille. Don't know why I didn't notice it myself. Time to go back to the vise.

Good way to get rid of some stress for sure. I bet they fish well!

Hawg, you tie a very nice jig.The technique is just fine, and you know how to make the adjustments everyone has spoken of. I use a bit of flash or a strip of Christmas tinsel in all but a very few of my jigs. The whites, blues and grays look very different with just a strip or two to set them off. That's just my personal touch, yours will catch fish just fine. Show pics when you get em wet. Good work. That dark one will surprise you, and don't forget browns and olive variations. I never dreamed they would do as well as they have.
-
Thanks for the comments guys. Gonna try some of them out in the morning.

Be sure to tell us how they worked. Just a guess I bet he doesn't come home empty handed.

Crappie weren't biting where I was fishing. Only caught three and they went for minnows, not jigs.
