Thinking about getting a new boat. The boat will be used mainly for duck hunting/crappie fishing. I've been looking around and I really like Excel boats. Do you fellas have any suggestions?

War Eagle is one of the best, most durable boats made. I've had a 1542 for about 4 years and have really enjoyed it. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
X2 The WarEagle1542 is one tough duck/fishing boat. You Might break your Motor or Trolling Motor on the water, but I promise ya one thing your not going to break the WarEagle 1542 unless you drive it stright into a concrete wall and even then I have my doubts. I have fished one for 10 years now on some of the toughest water Arkansas has to offer namely (Lake Conway) and all ive had to do is add a lil camo pray paint every now n then.;)
I like the way they build that Excel boat. Would like to try one out myself. It looks like the way Xpress builds theirs boat. Excel has some very good info on there website.
Let us know if you get one. I want to check it out.
Those Excel Boat are nice. but they are so high priced the dealership in searcy wont stock there crappie/bass fishing boats when I was asking about them back in march/april. The owner said that do to there high price that he wont even stock the duck boats till later this year closer to hunting season. to help keep the overhead low.
War eagle for sure. I have a 1997 model 1648 and its in awesome shape. built strong
http://www.legendcraft.com/ Here is a small local custom all welded boat company. They stand behind their products and use Natgear camo on them if you want them camoed. I know the owners personally and they build a great product. These are built to order boats one at a time by hunters and fishers for hunters and fishers.
SeaArk makes an outstanding duck hunting/fishing boat, the Cast & Blast 150. You ought to go to their website and take a look at it.
Another vote for War Eagle

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm kind of leaning toward the War Eagle. Only bad thing about them is the name. Reminds me of Auburn ha ha.
You won't be unhappy with a War Eagle. Check the specs on all of them, particularly the guage aluminum they are made out of.

I had Legendcraft Nat Gear my 94 Alumaweld last year and saw 1st hand their building process. I would definitely explore the Legendcraft further if I were buying.
your welcome sos!!!
I fish the Atchafalaya basin in South La. ,it's pretty nasty so I'm looking at something rugged to fish out of.I narrowed my search down to either the Triton 1756 SC or the War Eagle 754.Both are camo and in the 17 foot range.I'm leaning towards the War Eagle, heard alot of good things about them and they offer a vinyl flooring.Good luck, hope this helps.
Not mine, but looks to be a great duck rig at a good price. Good fishing size. Craigslist Little Rock.
2010 EXCEL DB
I know of 2 guys with 1542 WE boats and both have busted welds on the transom and the paint is wearing off on the floor... too much $$$ for that to happen IMO. I really enjoy my Xpress 15DB (1546 duck boat) with a 25 Tohatsu pushing her thru the stumps and on the Meto.
