No....I did not fish yesterday. I did Friday though.....went down south to Okatibbee.
Im in southern middle Tn, and to answer your question about going yesterday, yes, I did. I fished a big fish tourney where we had 9 folks show up for. I caught 13 crappie, 6 keepers but thats way off from what its been being.Was pretty slow and the bite was very light. The line would tick, tick, just about like a brim bite. Fishing should be good for a few weeks till the lakes turn over. Then we will have to go on the hunt for them all over again :)
got me a butla spanking yestrday, 8 short crappies & 2 world class gar.

Been lucky so far I guess....never caught a gar in my life. I have caught several bowfin ( grinnel).
I used to fish Tunica alot and I had my fair share of gar. One of the main reasons why i quit going there.
gar aint to bad if you get them on an outside pole but you when on the inside your talking about a giant mess then you take your..... ummmm well yall get the picture.
i havent had a chance to go this weekend brother and his family came up so i havent gone. i like to get up and go early and he is not the early bird type im having withdrawls.
Gar weren't biting too much yesterday, but neither were the crappie. Ended up with a dozen good fish and several throwbacks.Quote:
