Anybody ever try a nibble on one of the trebles on a crank? I wonder if they would hold up to trolling? Adding some scent might increase your chances on a lake like 'butla where the water can sometimes look more like Yoo-Hoo.

Here is the truff. Pulled cranks for about 27 hours strait. Then out of nowhere....... Bam! Fish on! Could it be the 3 lber I've been searching for?

Here's where the REAL story begins. I started long lining some jigs and swim baits for a bit. I trolled to and from all over the place. Just as I was getting ready to pick up and go, it happened... My pole bowed over and just about flew out of the boat! "Stay clam" I told myself. So I set the hook. Wow! This joker is heavy. Not sure if it is a crappie at this point, but whatever it is, IT HAS SOME MUSSELS!! So I continued to fight with it, for what felt like an eternity until I got it to the top of the water.. I couldn't believe my eyes. Certainly the biggest one I'd ever caught, ever.
The first of many days Butla will get ya....but when that day comes ...ya will forget about those bad days

Don't let the picture fool you. That joker still had some fight in him. FYI, caught him on a chartruse swim bait in about 8 ft of water. Bite was kinda slow, but it was well worth the wait.
