Ima gone slap the weather man upside da head
I know not to trust them the day before I go fishing but MANNNN, when you can't get it right 5 minutes before I head out the door to the lake. COME ON MAN, that's pathetic. Was watching the weather when I got up at 5:30 Saturday morning and it was Currently, light winds at 3 MPH out of the SSW and then gradually increasing to 7 MPH by noon. I call BULLCRAP on that cause when I got the the rez 45 minutes later, ummm, winds were at 8-10, then, within an hour or so, they were at 12-15 with close to some 20 MPH gusts. Had over 2 foot rollers coming up the lake cause the wind was straight up the channel markers. Bouncing to much to spider rig like I had planed with the 75 minners I had just bought and I wasn't gonna try and pull cranks by myself in that kinda wind. Ended up over on the dam by the water intake easing around for 3 hours. HAd several bites and 3 or 4 big fish on but they all got off. Bad thing is the big bites I had, when I checked the line, there was slime all over it so we know what that means. Guess I just wasted 4 hours Saturday morning.
I was a looking for ya Double G
I drove up to 3 Prong and marked the heck outta fish there but couldn't stop and fish due to the waves. Then I eased back down out by Twin Harbor and was gonna put out the striper rods and troll for stripers but it was just to bad. If I'd have had a fish get on while I was going into the wind, I'd have never been able to land it due to having to worry bout keeping the boat straight. Bad thing is usually I can go to the water intake and atleast get ahold of a few dinks, they were'nt even biting
