Prayer request
for my 94 year-old Dad. They finally have his pain under control and tell me he's down to days. He's says he's had a great life and is proudest of his service during WWII. Hope and pray he can remain pain free from now till he passes. Had several opportunities the last few days where he regained consciousness for a brief time while I was there so I got to thank him for all he's done for me and tell him all the things so many folks don't get to say to their loved ones when they die suddenly.

Prayers have been lifted up for you and yours CN. You are fortunate to be able to tell your Dad good bye....a lot of us never got that opportunity.

My dad died when he was in his early 70s...he was also on pain meds and at home on hospice. He was pretty much out of it for a couple days and the family gathered around and the day before he died, he woke up and seeing everyone around said, "I'm in Heaven!" He was awake for a great couple hours and we could all talk with him one last time. My best and last memory of him.
You and I...we're very fortunate. And this country is better because of his service. Thanks to him and prayers out to you and yours.

Sorry to hear this. Our country is losing one of it's greatest resources by the rate of around 2000 per day......our WWII veterans. Thank your Dad for us. Prayers up from Knob Noster.

Pat, we feel for your loss but seems as if the quality of his life and what you've brought to each other are a reason for comfort. He sounds like a heck of a guy.
