I do most of my fishing out at Lake Ouachita on the weekends but haven't had ANY luck the past couple months. Only fishing jigs lately, so maybe I need to get back to minnows. Anyways, I've enjoyed reading here so far. Thanks!

Thanks for the report man. I have a boat up there on Ouachita at North Shores Marina so keep me posted on your success and I will do the same. I have not been up there for a while so I dont have any reports to give.
Do you ever fish Maumelle?
Hi gooch...We're at Mountain Harbor. My successes are few and far between, man, but I'll let you know and would love to hear any feedback. My last good day was sitting at the dock last summer. I've never fished Lake Maumelle. I need to bring one of my rods back with me next time so I can hit some more areas around town.
Welcome to the board. I joined about a month ago and I have had a great deal of help from the people here. I ask alot of questions and have gotten great answers.
Welcome aboard. Hope you catch a few nest time out. Ron ;)
Thanks for the welcomes, guys. Looks like I may go try tomorrow and/or Sunday depending on the weather.
Ever fish Nimrod Lake ?:D I guess you figured already where I fish !;)
Yeah, once about 10-12 years ago. Got a catfish on a cane pole with a worm. That lake has got a muuuddddy bottom from what I remember.
Didn't catch any crappie, but saw a lady catch a nice one in the shallows on a rig with a bobber. Water temp. was up to 57* in 3 - 4 feet of dirty water after that rain.

Try the Little Maumelle River. I've done pretty good there the past few trips. I took a short trip there last weekend (fished Sun Morning). Caught 10crappie and a catfish and several bass (too short). Most of these fish came from brush about 5' deep with blk/chart jig. You should give it a try. CEB -
Man that beats a full limit of bass any day. How far up the creek were you fishing? Were you up as far as the the marina?
I may have to come try it down there some day instead of Maumelle.
I was fishing the inside bend just downstream of the marina. There are about a handful of visible brushpiles that stick out in the water about 5-8' deep. It was overcast that day, so I fished about 2' deep. I have also caught a few around the last old dock at the marina on bluebird days. I haven't torn em up, but I always catch some quality fish. I think that it will be good fishing come spring. And, those 3 fish on the left are 12-13.5". CEB -
Howdy Woohdog from Georgia
Welcome Woohdog. Sorry I haven't replied earlier, been a little busy getting on the water everyday and fishing -- uh I mean working, lol.
I look forward to meeting you AR folk and maybe we can get together sometime to yank up some slabs.
Good luck if you get out this weekend. I may go drop a couple condos and fish a little if my wife doesn't protest too much.
