I'm still at it guys. LOL Thanks to some of you guy's help, I'm getting a little better, I hope.:confused: I've still got to order some saddle hackle, but here's what I came up with using neck hackle. Does it look like I'm doing it right?

Neck hackle... Saddle hackle... I wish somebody in the know would school us rookies on a variety of feather, along with where and where not to use them. :confused:
Yes, you spread the hackle equal distance apart which is the secret to palmering. Also your hackle is uniform in length. Very nice job!

Looking a lot better, but you need some saddle hackle for that so it will be not quite so long.

Thanks guys for the help in showing me the techniques. I'm going to get some saddle hackle that's not so wide and that should do the trick.
