Good looking spot Russ.
Nice pics, I think I fished that tree once, or maybe it was the one next to it... I am not sure, they all look the same out there. How bouts some GPS coordinates? Oh wait, my GPS is at the bottom of White River, so if you want all my fishing spots get some dive gear and go get it.
No wonder you only caught 8,I see a fox watching in one of the pictures and my goodnees it looks as tho he's watching the buggy man in the bottom picture scaring the fish off.
I've fished that hole before!:D But not since spring. Nice fish, CP, and thanks for the pics!:)
That just ain't right!!!
Besides fishing in my hole, is that a can of snuff I see? I haven't been able to catch fish ever since I quit.
Glad someone is getting some use out of my hole.
Look's like I ain't gonna make it back out on the lake until Monday. I am going to try to run you down.

LOL DP Dont be to hard on me I took a picture of the tree for every body to look for that would put em right on it, but just could'nt do it.:p Cos one of these days i might actually catch a fish off it LOL. I fished Gold Pond late in the morning, fish were all over the grapth but i couldnt get em to bite.
Russ by gold pond are you talking about by the foot bridge? We went up there before we knocked off Sunday and absolutely wore 'em out...all three of 'em:D Lined up nose to tail they would have almost made a good fillet.
The count was 2 crappie and one bass. It was actually one small crappie and 2 fry.
LOL Nope im talking about Gold Lake/Pond which starts off at Gold Point in the main lake. Im fishing large live tree's/Clusters along the Three Creeks bank which is slightly NE across from Gold Point. Morning bite from about 7-11 am has been best for me. and have caught some decent fish from around 5pm-dark. Give this area a try and get there early in the morning if you can and concentrate only on the shady side of the live trees. Work as many trees as you can, not spending too much time on any one tree if your not getting a bite. Try pitching your bait at the base of the tree or pockets of clusters of live cypress and letting it pendelum back to the boat. (In this area i am fishing I do this with about 5-7 feet of line hanging off my jig pole depending on depth). Sometimes it helps to pull a lil line out to the side with your free hand pitching into to tight spots or get up under low limbs. If this dont work, my next move will be to lower my jig at the base of the tree slowly(or A fast drop if i can tell what they Like (Try both everynow n then) till im just off the bottom about six inches to a foot off the bottom to be exact. Let it set for a second and then ease the jig away from the tree horizontally with the rod tip (DONT REEL) and keep the bait in the SHADE. Allot of times they will nail it when I start to ease it off away from the tree with my rod tip. If you dont get a bite in a minute or two move on to the next. I think you know from reading my post, and pics, what colors, head size and type of lures im using. I am a believer in them Crappie Nibblets too. You'll get my bill in the mail. LOL Good Luck Brian hope you catch some...
Great pictures. I tell ya you couldn't pull that off in Indiana because the next time you go out to your spot you would have ten boats fighting over it.. Lol!
Love the pics tho.

I think I can make out some of what it really is. I took a wooden stake bed out there with 80lbs of crete in the middle. I had to go steal two huge rocks from the bridge to get it under the water. When I sank it, it still wouldn't lay on the bottom. I was out of time so I tied it off to one of the trees knowing it would eventually get waterlogged. I have checked on it one time soon afer I placed it. I could see on my graph it still wasn't on the bottom a month later. By then, it was time to worry about the Pond. So, I have never fished it.

Easy to find it. Just find some cypress trees in 6-7 feet of water and there you are.
Russ I dont need luck, I just need to borrow the AGFC electric boat for a couple hours.
