Super video, you missed your calling; should have been a movie star!!:D One question on the Lawless jig, have you ever used two shells concave like with a hook in the middle? Don,t know how you'd soder it, but it would give it more body.
That was great Ship. I thought you were going to catch a black tetra there for a minute. Thanks for sharing your tips.
Nice job on the video Ship, let's see more;)
Great job Ship, I enjoyed every minute. To the point, short, sweet. Yep, I see you doing many more of these!

bob.
I loved it! I search for these kinds of videos ALL THE TIME!! I liked it ALOT
Stay tuned. I plan on making one next week showing the actual soldering, painting of jigs, and then I will tie some jigs on the vice. Might help somebody.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to post something. It was very encouraging. I hope the next one is nine minutes or more and goes more into detail. I might even do one on how I fix up my rods for some float -n- fly action showing dental floss stop knots and easy ways to do loop knots and palamore knots. What does everyone think? Should I do something like that? I'd love to hear from you. Perhaps these videos will help those involved with youth groups.
I will even wear my jig tier's jacket and crappie.com hat to help plug the site Ed. Let me hear from you forum members. Thank you.
Great video, Ship! Is the flux you use a paste? That is all I can find...
Yes ship; we need more instructial vedos. A picture is worth a thousand words. Also you did a very good job of making that video. Your videos should be put on a sticky somewhere in crappie.com to help newcomers. Won't be very many crappie left if everyone follows your directions!
Yes. Use an art paintbrush or flux brush to apply it to the gold hook and shell. Tin the soldering iron (apply a little solder to it when it is hot)
Place the shell and hook in position. Touch the soldering iron to the shell and hook. At the same time touch the solder to the area. Soldering should begin in a few seconds and will be like a mirror finish.
When finished let the jig cool and harden. Clean the flux off with thinner before painting. I use vinyl paint by Wapsi.
Ship, thanks for all the help! I did three up this morning and they look pretty decent for my first soldered jigs.
Great video Ship! Nice baits too!
good job ship.
Good Job, Ship.
