those skirts are out of my league
we do use a lot of that material it makes excellent jigs we have about 40 some different colors of that stuff we use it quite often and I do like the color that you have there.I hope that we can see more of your work.
Do any of you guys know where I might get a mold for these skirts?Maybe I'll start pouring some, lol. That will lead to me making things, here we go.
If I remember how it was explained to me those are made in long solid strips and then cut, not poured that way.
I like using skirt material for jigs. Easy and so many things you can do with it.
Those are extruded from a machine and it is ALOT cheaper to buy them already made than trying to get into making them yourself. The colors you can get those in is ENDLESS and they are coming out with more colors all the time. But this is my two cents and that and a dollar MIGHT get you a box of Cracker Jacks...lol..
Ok,you all made up my mind for me,lol.
I would also like to add time you get through buying a mold and get it shipped to you it may be around 60 bucks time you get through buying and plastic and the coloring you will have over 100 bucks. You can buy silicone skirting for that much money and have a lot of it. We do make up stuff commercially but I do not attempt to make that type of skirting we buy already made. The only thing that I would be into would-be skirt that you use on a spinner bait that you could shoot it in a mold but you will have a row and you have to shoot mostly solid colors but it works nice on spinner bait's. The remotes look like a wagon wheel the center as a whole you have to trim off the little they do make the molds in different sizes. I do not know what you were thinking about pertaining I guess to jig making. But they do make a 2 inch and it goes on from there I do not have that mold and I don't think I want one.
Me either,lol.
The jigs looks ready to fish, good job on em.
ole jungle jim ties a bunch he calls them rubber butt jigs
This is a 1/8 oz. football head jighead with no collar.I wanted to use up the skirting that I cut up before it just got lost.I think it is cool, lol
