Wish, I would have been there to help you catch, those.
Good looking crappie. Congrats on your catch. :)
Slow, that would be a major haul around here. What did you use? I still need to get ahold of some specific platics if I can find the right ones.
nice catch
Bob, which of your baits got them and what color. Red/yellow had been a good jig color today here. I was surprised to see some still having eggs. I posted pics in the Ohio forum.
we are using a little plastic fish that we have a mold for it is a killer we will be posting some for sale on here be watching for that post. It was slow because we are used to catching a 5 gallon bucket full. And I've seen it in the past it was nothing to catch two or three 100 a day.
the colors that I caught them on was brown with red glitter. It is a little plastic fish that we have a mold for it is a killer I cannot get enough made up that word got out here and they are turned my door down to get them. For some reason they like that brown color if you use some other they do not care for at all we tried white chartreuse yellow and black but nothing till you put that Brown one back on. some of the fish already spawned I believe we have several cycles here. And I've caught him all summer with eggs in them.
Always more fun when you catch them on something you made yourself
Fatman
Real nice fish snake! I wish we could get some like that. Lately we have had a rough go on crappie. Fortunately for us there has been plenty of perch and gills to help fill the basket.
thanks guys has been so hot here lately too hot to go fishing.
Very nice ...... Indeed
:)
hard to believe that white and chartreuse did not get them, that is generally a hot color here. I rarely catch them on browns, but like you said, I have noticed when I do catch them on that color, it seems no other colors produce.
nice catch.. always a bonus to catch them on your own baits. great job.
excellent!yellow seems to produce good here in most places.the only color of baits i have poured so far is a yellowish color with black glitter.the fish love em!gills, perch, crappie, bass all seem to eat em up.
I think why that particular color is working so well is because those small fish that are in there right now I think that color is why. Usually in this country we catch a lot of fish on gray black brown intercourse chartreuse if conditions are favorable to their name were not hitting chartreuse at all. And they were perforating stiffer action jigs.
the colors in my area seem to change by the year or every two years. all the basic good colors will always catch fish, but it seems the fish will bite one certain color better than others for a year or two and then they will switch. I use to fish enough to figure it all out, now I do not have time.
we will catch them on every color of the rainbow it seems like times when they will hit later colors in other times they will hit darker colors. But I do not have any preference pertaining to colors my favorite colors are Gray black and brown in chartreuse . In turquoise transparent greens. What do you think of black and pink.
Black and pink is probably my least favorite to be honest. I have not used it in a long tiem though but years ago I could not buy a hit on that color.
