we were wondering how many of you guys would be interested in a swap on plastics. And we are also wondering how would you feel about trading plastics and swapping for tied jigs that would be combined in the two together.

i'm game
pm me with the details. Is there a theme?
If enough people are interested in this swap I will jump in also. How are you thinking we would swap plastics jig for tied jigs, I'm too interested in how it would work. Thanks for coming up with something new snake river.

I sent you a PM.
I do not use tied jigs very much at all, but I will try it out. Tied jigs are a little more expensive I think. Was you thinking like 5 plastic baits per tied jig or what ideas did you have?
did you give a shout out to the jig tiers?
What if you don't pour plastics?
I'de like to try that.
Sounds interesting. I would just need the specifics on the swap. When you come up with a plan let me know and count me in.
I think there is no real specifics, we can just post a picture of something and someone can say or show what they will swap it for, and then you can accept or decline, would this work?
Sounds good!I think the jigs should be tied in pairs though.Nothing worst then catching fish, then getting hung up and losing your bait. With nothing to replace it.
az, i definately agree, maybe a few each
that deftly sounds good to me that would be kind of cool getting a couple of each.
I strongly agree with you that would make it a lot better in case you lose one you may want to get more or make them yourself that way you would have one to go by. I do not use any of my swap jigs that I get from the guy on here. They are definitely collector items might fuel privilege in getting something from the guys in years to come I will don't date them back to the site in remembrance of all the guys that were on here. It would be kind of cool to have a Hall of Fame for making all artificial . Also one would like to see more dedication to the people that work so hard on these different post we should have a yearly plaque for people that we recognize that work so hard to keep this site going.
I also think that the person whom has something that he wants to trade, should also give some kind of hint as to what he wants in a trade. There are just so many patterns a guy could make,ya know, lol. Some guys like very tiny things, and others like larger things,Like me.
okay somebody get this thing started. If anyone is interested, I would like to trade a 10 pack of 2 inch swimbaits in white/chartreuse like the one in the picture, for like 2 or 3 hand tied 1/16 ounce white/silver or white/chartreuse combination jigs. I do not know if this is a fair swap or not, I am just trying to get something going. So let me know if you are interested or give me some advice.
What size hook you want?lol
whatever size you normally use for crappie is fine with me az
If Azsabber doesn't take the trade I will :)
Stump, next time I pour some up I will try and swap soem with you as well
Your choice.4 sickle or 1 sickle?Maribou or kip?You are in a trade now,lol.
Well,I think that you need a seperate thread.Like a swap thread.
OK guys. I have made a new thread about the trade swaps and it is a sticky. Look over how it's set up and if there are something that needs added or changed let me know. Lets post all trades on that thread. Have fun with it.!
az, this may sound like a dumb question, but what is kip? Number 4 sickle works for me and I guess any new swaps we will need to do in the other thread. we can finish this one up here though I guess.
Kip is calf tail.lol.Softer then bucktail.
I have your jigs painted.Used a darter head regular size 4 hook. Will post a pic when they are done.PM me your mailing address crappieseeker
Here are your jigs.White 1/16 oz. Darter heads with a 4 hook.Grey maribou and rainbow flash.Let me know if they good enough.I'm making two more.Disregard that pic.Don't like it.The kid next door just took these two, lol.Don't like them heads.New ones painted already.
Those look fine to me. I hardly ever use hair jigs anyway. The only time I really have success on them seems to be in the very cold of the winter. So it will be this wintr before I even try them. I hope the swim baits work for you. I have sent some to a few people who say they are catching fish on them.
