That's what i'm talking about smalls NICE!!!!!!!
Hope your buddies stuck around to help clean all those!!! Nice catch, I haven't been able to get on the fish like that in a while, its a little HOT for me.
Those are awesome! What were you using for bait?
No problem me and my cuzzen get out the tumble drum we call it!! It was orderd in from Wisc. and it was pricey but a scaller is what it is and man does it do the job for 50 fish @ fifteen minute's we keep our fish half fillet's and the other whole like Grandma used to cook in the skillet with butttter/as Puala deen say's BUTTTTA IS BETTTTAA
Oh yhea i had to edit this as this is one heck of a catch fella's!! WOW!!!!!
Nice mess of fish, congrats on the catch.

Open water?? Submerged structure there?
Very nice! How were y'all fishin'?
caught em in open water, 4ft deep, fishing with grass shrimp. No weight, just a weighted cork, and 3 feet of line out. the breeze would keep the bait drifting and they would nail it. the only problem fishing like this is that you have alot of fish swallow the hook because they can take the bait and you dont know until the cork goes all the way under, which takes longer because there is no weight by the cork.
no weight by the hook***not cork
I'd say you guys WORE 'EM OUT! That HAD to be alot of fun.
I know ya'll had fun, nice pictures.
Wow! Nice mess. I've only had one occasion to get into them like that. About 40 years ago my grandpa and I once caught 149 in three hours on fly rods at a university experimental lake. You had to keep every fish you caught and each one had to be weighed and measured. The biologist that had to do the weighing and measuring was not real happy:D That was the night that grandpa taught me how to fillet fish, he sure wasn't gonna do it himself!
We caught them all about 40 feet off of the pads. Alot of the lakes here in florida are covered with pads, they line the entire banks of some lakes. The particular lake i was fishing was like that, pads EVERYWHERE. There is also alot of hydrilla in these lakes and it makes it hard to find bedded bream. The spot i caught all these fish was about 40 feet away from the pads, the pads go about 20 yards out into the water so i was probably fishing 30 to 40 yards off the bank in about 6 fow. We anchored and stayed in the same spot from 7 am to 1 pm. caught over 300 fish. It was awesome, we had about 10 diff ospreys flying around us waiting to get fish that we threw back. Every fish was caught off of grass shrimp.
That is an awesome report. Way to catch a good mess of great eating fish fillets. Get your hot sauce ready. Nice job.
Nice Catch

now that is a nice mess of fish.. One good fish fry there. Way to go guys.
That's what I'm talkin about!!! Did you get your grass shrimp out of the hyacinth? They wont turn one down. I trolled up about 25 or so by myself in Woodruff one day by myself on Beetle Spins just off the point of pads on the west shore. Super busy being alone. Fish and wildlife folks sprayed weeds 2 weeks later, couldn't buy a fish out there.
what kind of bait were yall using
grass shrimp.
ever use super duper lures
Yeah baby. That is what we all want to do! Great job.
there made for trout but all those fish eat them up they look like a u but one of the arm things is longer and you tie your line there both arm things are angled and it spins in the water flashing every where
caught these this mornin. finished with 36. I think i had 16 gills, 14 coppernose and 6 shellcracker. they are starting to get really hard to find. normally i can sit in one spot and catch 15 to 20 before i move. Now, i have been having to constantly move around to find em. ready for it to cool off down here, its way too hot, i can barely keep the fish in my live well alive bc the water is so hot.
