Musky, I pour several batches of one solid color until I get a pile of them or until I use the amount of plastic in the cup of that color. I then cut the tails off and remelt the bodies to use all the first color up. I then pour up another color and re-insert the tails and shoot the body. The new plastic will bond to the cool plastic. Some people think it will not, but it has worked fine for me. It is a little time consuming for sure, but I enjoy it. That is, when it is not too hot and I can get out and pour some. The temps have been 95 to 98 with a heat index close to 110. The humidity here is what makes it so bad.
