Round 1/8th oz jig head w/ spinner???

Did a search but only turned up wire spinner and horehead spinner jig heads. I'm looking for either a mold or someone selling 1/8th oz round lead jig heads with a small spinner on head. Bass Pro shops sells one now already finished. I want these to tie up myself. We were catching fish when no one else was this spring when we attached a spinner on a wire rig to the jig. I want one made into the jig head just like the regular old round jig heads we always tie up. Any one know where to get them or a mold tomake them?

You can modify a 1/16th Do-it mold by adding a pocket for the swivel. Send a mold to Crazy Angler Tackle and they can do the modification for you or you can have them cut you a custom mold with the pocket.

Somebody here on the boards had an aspirin head jig with spinner attached??? And ol brain fart here can't remember who it is!!!!!!!

I've been racking my brain on getting a small blade onto the head of my 1/16th oz jigs I tie without molding it in the head. On a round jig head with no collar, do you think I would be able to slip the crane swivel over the hook and slide up against the head, then tie the jig as usual. This should hold the swivel against the head. It would have to be hanging below head so blade would trail right. What size crane swivel would go over the barb of a size 4 hook? Would a OO work?

Tom I designed this head a year ago just got everything finished up I told Skip in a post last year that People would throw their R-R's away these out fished them 5-1 durin the spawn You can long line with Your outboard and this bait won't line roll on You production molds will be done next month !

You don't need a spinner or to waste your time tying if you use a curly tail plastic grub instead of frilly chenille and Dodo feathers!!!

... the curly tail grub gives the jig plenty of action and vibration!

Anyone can catch em on a curly tail jig GCD, it take a real man to catch em on your own hand tied jig :D:)

Pastic's were designed for high volume production at lower cost for greater profits ! Yes they work great I've caught over 1000 crappie on them since the 1st week of March,But I don't catch all of My 2.5 lb pluse fish on them which totals about 50 to date this year,there normally for people who don't have the time to produce a better bait that will produce greater success!and You can regulate what You want the bait to do plastics You get-what-you-get !

eye let jig head/then the prop,that can be tweeked special bend in hook and small piece of very small tubeing to hold prop. in place, as to let the prop. act as an under water buzz bait,dont worrie about a twister tail doing all the work as the jig head will be the BALM as in cold water, you can tweek the blade on the colored head to slow down some with a tube with less actoin! Or back to the basic's if fishen slow just tip the jig head with a fast to slow spin with a shinner!! Now how about a cork (LORD) poppen cork!

I just make them myself. You'll need:

1. Poured jig heads in chosen weight and style
2. Tiny swivels (#14)
3. Tiny split rings 2.5 or 5mm
4. #O or #OO spinner blades (Colorado or Willow Leaf)

I use needlenose pliers to smash one ring of the swivel straight. Then I drill a hole in the jig head to accept it. Secure the swivel in the jig head with superglue or epoxy, add the split ring and spinner... and there you go.
I make them with ball head jigs as small as 1/32. I could probably do 1/48 size jigs, too, but that would be my practical limit.
I can paint them any way I want, I tip them with whatever soft plastics or artificial soft baits I like, or I can use live bait "trailers".
The options are endless.
I buy the pre-poured jig heads and other component in bulk and save a little money by doing this. They cost about 25 cents per jig head, and it gives me something to do in the off season....
