How about all you goes put your money towards joining Magnolia Crappie Club. We already have MS certified scales! I still can't figure out why you guys want come fish our tournaments.
We are having fair turnouts and we are growing with each tourney, so why are you so insistant on us fishin with your group?
MS Slab, I think the difference, at least for me, is it's cheaper and less travel plus the FJs are North MS centric. Gets to be awful expensive trapsing around the state.
Wannabe...
fishing these North Mississippi FJ's. I live in Jackson, remember and it's 1 hr 45 min at the closest. I will give ole Hugh this, those scales are accurate he has. Seems someone DROPPED them a couple months ago and the company my wife works for are the one's that certified them LOL
Satdoc I'm just trying to invite people that are interested in fishing crappie tournaments to join a club that puts on crappie tournaments. There isn't anything in for me! Who knows you might like it if you tried it!
We average 35-40 boats a tournament but what if you guys brought your 15-20 boats and all the sudden we have a tournament with 55-60 boats. that would be a tournament pay-out worth traveling for don't you think. I realize you are going to get rich fishing crappie tournaments and that's not what I'm trying to do, but wouldn't you like to fish for $1,500-$2,000 on a weekend tournament.
I'm tellin' ya, if you offered scholarships for indigent yet beautiful Crappie fisherman, I'm 99% sure I'd fish at least one or two with ya'll. :)
Wannabe...
Wannabe you guys fished Washington, Ross Barnett, Enid, and Grenada. We fish all these lakes! There isn't a rule you have to fish all the tournaments. If you want to qualify for post season pay-out you have to pay for all but 2 held tournaments. We fish between 8 and 10 tournaments a year. I understand it isn't for everyone. I would like to add there is talk of a 2 day championship on Grenada this coming year in October instead of June.
Also if you are interested in getting more tournaments in the North MS area I need North MS area fishermen to join the club. The club has been primarily a Central/South MS membership, but if some of you guys would join the club that could change. We are a non-profit organization and it takes money to run an operation this big. If some North MS guys would join and help raise the money needed we would schedule more tournaments up that way!
I think this thread kinda got off subject...
Show me one thread on this site that doesnt get HIJACKED!
Don you have got to have certified scales when holding a tournament for money! It also helps to have a display for all to see.
was making fun of whoever dropped them was all
Where's Slabo when he's needed. That boy is rich and with Feelay, Callshy, Sat, Torch and my money throwed in, he ought to be good for the rest. :)
Yeah, what Feelay said. Think of the FJ series as the short bus for Crappie fisherman and me as the bus driver.
Wannabe...
Ya'll sit down and be quiet now. Ya hear?
feelay I completely understand the idea behind the fj's. You also bring up a good point about the kids. There isn't anything more important then getting the kids involved. Our rookie team of the year this year is a father and son (9 years old). Children under 16 pay no membership.
What? No comment on the short bus for Crappie Fisherman MS Slab? C'mon now, you gotta admit that was pretty good. Ya can't go around playing it straight all the time now. It ain't good for the constitution. It'll back you right up. It will.
Wannabe...
You are talking about Mentally, right?
Uh oh.....looks like DD's gonna pull a double shift down on the corner this weekend.
Wannabe...
Man, you're gonnabe slap wore completely out come Monday.
I ain't the idgit who didn't properly do their research and ordered the wrong pedestals. YOU ARE ya gewber. Now go hang your head in shame for a few more years cause really, that was the stewpitest thing I've even seen anyone do on here. I may have had an operator one time but ain't never bought the wrong thing. Now hush up
MAN, I thought you was my brotha:(
He definately had his hands full if that was the case.
Well I hope some of you guys decide to give MCC a try next season. Its a good group of guys to fish with. Like Hugh said we fish most of the same lakes as you guys.
Maybe you have, I don't know but just thinking that maybe some of you guys could try the Fruit Jars. I am just saying that because I think they are here to stay. I don't fish tournaments but I can see where there is a place for both.
I want to see the 4 "women"....
I kinda want to see whats is left of Slabo. HaHaHa just saying.
G-3 I'm down over #30 pounds since the last time you saw me !! But I sure ate a bunch of raw Oysters down there last week !!
Hey...thats great on the weight loss...way to go. I need to lose about 20 lbs. myself. I cut way down on my eating but it does not seem to do any good. I lose 10 pounds every spring and gain it back every winter and I never can seem to lose anymore.
With 4 women...yes I would say you probably need to eat a lot of raw oysters, Lmao. :D
Ya'll stop it...it is too early to laugh this hard
little blue pills LOL
Back to the topic, has MCC ever thought of havin a north division and a south division with a club championship at the end of the year? Tourneys could be held on opposite weekends in case some gewbers wanna fesh all of the events. You could let Hwy 82 be the division line.
Or y'all could all just join up with us in the West Alabama Crappie association and fesh our tourneys. We got an open tourney this Saturday at Aliceville, Al on the Tenn-Tom waterway. Go to www.westalabamacrappie.com fer more details or pm me.
Minnerman does that mean you are volunteering to head up the North division of Magnolia Crappie Club.
I want to join MCC and there is no doubt this is a great group of guys and a very successful club. I remember when MCC used to come to Columbus and if they still did I would be in today. What would it take to get you guys at MCC to come back to the waterway?
Hmmmmm. No. I've got way too much goin on ms slab. However I would entertain the thought of helpin out. I really live to far away from the majority of the northern sites. I'm sure I would not make all the tourneys and will not quit feshin the WACA tourneys.
On a different note. What's the chances of a WACA/MCC tourney on Columbus/Aliceville/Gainsville lakes. That would give both clubs 2 lakes to fish on their respectable states license. MS residents can fish Aliceville and Columbus and AL residents can fesh Gainesville and Aliceville. I'm sure most of our guys would be interested. Let's talk if you think your guys might be interested.
