My icefishing partner has one, and loves it.
He sold his FL-8 to get it, and he will only say good things about it.
I have looked at it before and it seems nice...
Where can you get one? I tried calling them but wont return my calls.
My friend also has one and they work good but his has a 1 sec delay. so when he raises his bait it doesnt show that instant like a marcum or vex does but he likes it.
I think they went out of business. They have a page listing dealers, only no list- just says sold out. Maybe someone bought them out. I sure would like to look at one close up.
No way they went out of business, Marcum makes alot of the best icefishing products on the market and also sponsors many ice fishing teams and shows. They are propably sold out or on back order.
Thornebros.com. They have them... all kinds of them. The St.Paul Ice show starts on Friday, Thorne Bros is the shining star of the show. I'm on staff with Thorne Bros and can say with some certainty that the Marcum boys will have these at a great price. Its kind of a long haul for some of you, but the internet service is excellent too and the show pricing will be available thru the store's website. Check out the Marcum site and take note of the "Troller" model....gonna be a big seller.
I have The New Showdown Troller. I used it a couple days ago open water. It is going to be a good Ice riAttachment 50432gAttachment 50431.Attachment 50430

THANKS CHAUNC
took a peek at that and told the wife so maybe jus maybe santa will stop by thorn bros.

thanks once again .

Running on AA batteries helps to keep the weight to a bare minimum on the Troller and at under 2 c-notes they are affordable as heck. I have been able to play with these units at a couple of ice shows now and they are really something....but the whole line of the Showdown units has been tweaked and enhanced into very, very accurate and easy to use/interpret ice fishing tools.
I am very interested in the showdown, but reading reviews on another forum im questioning them. Wondering is a flasher would be better. I am incouraged by the positive comments here. thanks
Bee, Did you make that leg strap mount or buy it? I am buying a showdown and think that is the best thing ever.
Well guys my wife ordered me one on Ebay for 185. plus shipping for my BD plus got me a TomTom.
Yea I want one but think I'll try myself. I have plexiglass. I hope I can bend the aluminum Evenly. But cool idea. Need to patent it and sell to marcum.
Now about the troller, Got mine and used it yesterday. Not sure how much I like it. I am hoping it does better in deeper water. I was in only in 6 ft of water and was really hard reading it because shallowest scale is 20 ft. After some deep water experience I'll report more.
Be carfull with plexi as it break easy. Tommorow i am going to leave the Vex home and do a good test. Ihave a base mount in a bag. It should work out ok. I,ll post. From TodayAttachment 51507
Holy crap them are a nice perch!!!! So are the slabs but i wish we had inland perch like that in ohio. I went to cabelas to get a bag for my troller but they don't handle marcum. Bee, What would you charge for a plexi mount.
This is the base Mount I made up for the troller.Attachment 51716Attachment 51717Attachment 51718

I'm not yelling, but I would like to get one of your leg strap mounts. How much is the cost?
Or PM me if you want
thanks dave
How is your gadget mounted to the troller?
How is the troller in shallow water - like 10 feet or less?
My local river has a lot of 4' and 6' area.
The Troller is slotted. The mount is notched to form a tight fit when the Troller is inserted. I sold several and have had good reports. Use mine all the time. i don,t fish that shallow so i can,t tell you. I would say just as good as any other water.
Thamks!
I got one of the bases from Bee and they are well made. Called Cabelas and ordered a bag and i'm all set. A carbon copy of Bee's showdown.

I picked up the Show Down Troller last year and it has really increased my hook up ratio and its putting more fillet on the table ! That big bar at 15 feet is my Tungsten Tear drop jig and everything else is yellow Perch, the second photo are the same Perch on the other side of the ice ! Thumbs Up I talked to John in customer service at the end of May and everything was going Gangbusters for them at that time !

I have a Vex FL 18 it's great for winter, but never tried it in open water fishing. Maybe I should try it some night while anchored for Crappie?
I use mine in my kayak, it sure save me a lot of time locating the fish and staying on them !
I put the Troller between my legs on the floor of the kayak and run the tranducer cable underneath the deck bungee and hang it over the side. During the summer when its warm out, I put the unit in the holding Bracket that bee made for me.
Congradulations on the big day, May the sun always shine on you and yours !
I got my Troller direct from Versus, it was $249 with the pro pack and worth every penny ! Very easy to use, no problem reading it it bright sunlight !
