Does anyone have any good first hand experience with both TM's? I'm planning to add a 24v and will get the I-pilot with whichever one. Thanks for your feedback.

I have the power drive with autopilot.
I didn't think I would like it without the foot pedal.
So far so good, I haven't missed the pedal so far.
I have the Terrova i-pilot and love it! The battery died in my remote while I was on the water one day, I hooked up the foot pedal and kept on fishing. You can't do that with the PD, unless you are a electronics wizard like Canepole.
no longer than they've been out, they either really eat batteries or you use it an awful lot. I'd think the remote battery would last longer. JMO
I have to live with an older PD with co-pilot, but I'm happy with it, but if I ever get rich, I'd love to have an I-Pilot LOL
I have the terrova, with I piolit and it's great, open water remote, lots of trees foot pedal, nice real nice.
it does make a difference Tom, I broke the front seat pedestal holder yesterday and had to use the remote from the passanger seat, it worked fine.
Looking like I'll go with Terrova with I-pilot. Can't run mods like canepole.
I have PD and love it with IPILOT also carry a spare battery no big deal.
What shaft length do I need for a Tracker Pro Crappie 175? And what is the difference between I-Pilot and Co-Pilot? What is USl2?
shaft length is not that big of an issue as long as it's long enough to put the head of your troller about 1' in the water. However some are too long and in the way when you stow them.
I-Pilot is GPS related and can do so many things, like hold your boat on spot, follow a prerecorded track. and other things.
Co-Pilot only controls speed and steering
hope this helps you out. Co-Pilot runs about $100 I-Pilot as an add on runs, I believe, about $500
I got the smallest shaft ( I think 45" ) for my Triton VT17. It fits perfectly as the head of the TM doesn't jut out the side of the boat. Putting the boat cover on is a little snug.
Ordering the small shaft required me to order the I-pilot separately as it doesn't come as a package in that configuration.
Minnkotamotors.com has a lot of info on the co-pilot and I-pilot. Co-pilot is basically a remote fob for the foot pedal whereas I-pilot has some GPS related capabilities.
The US2 is the built in transducer. I don't have it but it supposedly works with any of the 2d sonar.
Thanks WF and Sty, those helped.
