private message slab and ask him to add it....
well, it might be a good idea to see how many members are interested in a new jersey specific forum.
Welcome to crappie.com and I'm sure there has to be a few from New Jersey. If not, we will help you all we can :)
what stump hunter said.
i'd like to get a lot out of this site. if not information, at least some friends.. :)
theres alot of that here.....
pbug, redgreen is awesome by the way ... haha
Being from a place called "Ocean County" most folks would figure you'd be more interested in saltwater fishing... or are the not any saltwater fish left in the ocean up there for some reason???
I would walk over a dozen 12" crappie for 2 good 10" Northern Puffers!!!... a "Y" shaped piece of cartlige and no bones! Be careful how you clean them though, they can kill you if you do it wrong!
Nothing for us Delawarians either.
I don't know if the natives actually say 'Delawarians.' Delawarites? Delawarippeans?
saltwater is the big game out here.. but its not much of a challenge.. in fact there's a nuclear power plant local that warms up the water and you can catch anything from blowfish, striper, weakfish, blues, ... the list goes on.. and its literally like pulling them out of a bucket.. everyone has boats too, but being between seaside and long beach island here.. there's a lot of tourism on the boats..
i'm really not much of a follower.. i enjoy freshwater fishing much more.
Are you referring to 'Blowfish'? If so, GREAT EATING!!! Haven't caught any this year, however, several years ago while fishing at Cape Cod, Mass., I caught many! Don't know what happened to them, as I've already been fishing at Hyannis and haven't seen nor heard of anyone catching em (caught plenty of Seabass and Porgies with a 2 Blackfish aka Tautog). Weather has been so erratic, I decided to hit the Saltwater instead of the lake
As for Jersey... what part of Jersey? I've been to a lake called 'Farrington' (not to far off Rte 18 - East Brunswick). Nice crappie fishing there.
wow I used to camp at Farrington Dam when I was a kid, (back in the early 60s)
used to catch trout there fly fishing. the lake above surly has crappie.
lived in Highland park
its always good to find newer places to try

Hey Guys I'm from NJ born and raised. Who has fished Lake Assunpink before? That's the lake my father and I learned how to spider rig on.
i was born and raised in new jersey near atlantic city and fished lake lenape growing up and caught loads of very nice crappie 12-14 inches and remember a huge crappie my cousin hooked that looked like a hubcap that he lost trying to lift it up out of the water
Are there any NJ Crappie tournaments?
Haven't heard of any but I'm sure there are.
bxn my brother in law has one of those boats, they are great fishing boats! They are light, not too big and you can lauch just about anywhere.
