That lake is awesome, all of the huge redears that come out of there are crazy. Is the lake full of mussels? The redear are just monsters, the one in your picture is a trophy. Lots of people post here about there Ky Lake experiences.

Thanks for the pic. Ky Lake is alive and well.
I live about 10 miles from Kentucky Lake and the lake does offer some great Bass, Crappie, Redear, Bluegill, and Catfishing opportunities.
The lake is full of mussels.
Fishing shell mounds and underwater ledges is key on the lake, if you want to catch big Bass, and Crappie this time of year.
But the big Redear are being caught all over Kentucky Lake and Barkely Lake right now.
Another key to Kentucky and Barkely lakes is size.
KY Lake is 160,000 acres of water, Barkely Lake is 57,000 acres of water.
Both lakes cover around 220,000 acres of water.:)
