Would 24 fish to around 8 to 10 be considered a BEATDOWN?

Just curious is all. The Bream were scattererd bigtime Saturday at Eagle so I thought to myself "SELF" put 3 or 4 poles out with yo crickets at different depths and troll around real slow since they're not on the beds right now. I'll be darned if'n it didn't work. We picked up 18 Good bream, 3 or 4 either white or yeller bass, a 3 pound Largemouf and a 4 pound Striped bass that was 18 1/2 inches long. I ain't saying who that Gewber in the boat that kept on following me round was but he had 4 bream in the boat bout 45 minutes before he left.
BTW, IMPROPER things at the ramp. IF you own a pontoon boat and you have no idea what you are doing behind the wheel, then it starts flooding raining with 40 MPH winds. PLEASE don;t try to load your boat up. Just wait til the rains over with and load it then. There were not 1 but 2 of those dipsticks trying to load their boats saturday as that front came through and they had the ramp totally blocked. They both ended up backing off and getting their buddies to pull the trailers back up the ramp without their boats. Needless to say I got soaked along with the other 20 boats trying to load up in the flooding rain and lightning

Look you gewb, we ended up with 24 bream and 2 cats using only one pole. SOOOOO, if'n you look at the odds of pole per fish I think we may have done okey dokey. Those last set of piers we fished before ya'll left and the flood came really started to pay off. We caught 8 in just a few minutes off the end of the pier that we ducked in to when the flood came.

and my catfish was the biggest fish of the day too!

I like the guys who back down the ramp then start loading everything from truck to boat. I have everything ready so when I back down the boat comes off and I am gone in a matter of seconds.

of the alleged beat down. The 2 catfish went on the grill saturday night but here are the other victims.

you sandbagging sucker. LOL I got 4, yeh right ya gewber. I ended up with enough filets to feed 15 folks and still had about a 1/3 gallon ziplock bag of fried fish over so I ain't complaining

were those about an average size for Eagle? I've always heard they had some of the biggest bream in the state there

I rate the pics a 10....mainly because it had fish on it. My table only would have had 2 fish on it if I had kept them. Some folks had tables with nothing on them. Some folks even have boats that are not rigged yet. Yep....Its definately a 10. Way to go Triton.

with the full moon again in 2 weeks, when you think the Bream will start heading back to the beds for the June Spawn? I may head down to Lake Ross Barnett or Claude Bennet if they don't Fertalize them AGAIN the week before the full moon

DD....they normally go back to the beds on and about the full moon every month from now untill fall....the bluegills do anyway.....I really do not think the red ear spawn but once and some times twice so it would be May and June for them.

wasn't sure if they started moving in the week before the moon or not. It'll still be a week before the moon this weekend and I'm thinking about heading to one of those lakes and try them. HOPE I can hit Lake Ross barnett due to them having some huge Bluegills and Chinkipens plus some nice crappie to boot

or, the guys with boats in the back of the truck with no trailer.......where they pull up to the ramp, unload everything from the boat and lay them in the middle of the ramp while they walk up and get their truck.....then another 20 min. to load the gear and boat....

Back to the original theme of this post...If you are getting a beat down on bream then you REALLY have problems:eek::eek::D:rolleyes:

with fertalizer again, pretty sure me and wifey are heading down early saturday morning. Triton, do you think that 10 foot rear seat B & M will work as a flyrod? I have an extra reel

I used a flyrod for years bream fishing but all I use anymore is a 5 and a half ft. ultra light spinning rod. I have two that I bobber fish with and two that I bottom fish with.
