They been catching a few bream in there. Some good ones have come out last couple of years. But it aint a place to go and catch alot of big ones. We fished last week, never caught a bream. Did manage to catch some of the smallest crappie you ever seen in your life. I would say bream fish in the bar pits beside the lake if I were going over there. Or drive on up to Mill Lake.
We used to wear the red ears out when I was younger (15 years ago), but I havent fished it for bream since they killed it a few years back. I have heard people catching a few crappie and small bass, i would think that the bream are back because they usually take off pretty good.

Mill lake is just N/NW of Knobel, it's more slough than lake. During duck season if the water is right, there is as many ducks as stars in the sky

It's just a bunch of wankin about stupid decoys, chokes, and blinds without Old and UR.
Those guys don't know what real hunting is all about. They are too worried about peeling the hard pages of their DU magazines apart.
I vote UR and Old start their own forum and we'll all join. Rule #1- Anyone who mentions decoys by brand name gets banned for life.

That's too bad. I was hoping for better. Duck hunting isn't the same sport it used to be.....seems the top waters and the I don't give a darn about anybody but myself people have taken over.....my favorite brand of decoys are free or cheap! .......haven't taken DU in a long time......I'm curious if any of you guys hunt on the St. Francis.Quote:

Even though I hunt farther south than that Old I've had many good times also. I love to get a limit of greenheads in the morning then crappie fish the cypress trees in the afternoon. Unfortunately it's not the same place it used to be though.
up north of you we were more into 2 or 3 toe sacks full in the morning and again in the afternoon. green, brown, didn't matter. wad'em up.
