Lookin for a large jig box to store my jigs. The small fly boxes I've been using have been falling apart. The foam seems to wear quickly. Any suggestions on what I should get? thanks

These boxes are decent.
Cabela's Double Nubby Tack® Fly Boxes
also go to walmart and look in there sewing section got some cool boxes there and there like way cheaper than they are in the fishing section
I for the most part just use the old regular plastic compartment style, but I make some gift boxes up (not big) and the foam in them you are supposed to back the hook in and back it out so it will last. You don't use the point of the hook to put a jig in on these kind. I think they are kind of high priced though and made is Sweden or Switzerland, don't remember which.

i use a plastic handgun carry case made by plano.take the egg shell foam out and cut the humps off with scissors flip foam around so smooth side is up and glue it to the box.works good
I just use a plano stowaway but all my jigs are in pill amber bottles marked with the weights and all my tubes are in ziplock bags. The double protection keeps the lead from oxidizing, any mold from forming and all the dirt and debris off my jigs and plastics. I never throw a wet lure back in the box until its 100% dry usually a few days later. When i used fly boxes for flys most of them would start to rust if they got any moisture in the box, had more flys ruined by water than by fish. You can fit 2 small pill bottles per compartment so you can have one for light and one for dark colors and still separated by weight.

Real good set up. Before this year I wouldn't have thought I would need ''boxes'' to store my jigs (always used minnows) but I have not used a minnow but a couple of times this year longlining! Man o man, I have a lot of jigs and always getting more :) Plan on getting set up and start tying some this year.
I dont care for the box, but those jigs are really nice especially those blue ones. Looks like someone does some really good work. My home made jigs painted with nailpolish and a stick one eye dont look anywhere near that good:p. Where can i get a sample one?
definitely love your plastic box in a way that you put your jigs and never thought about putting foam I could see that you can get one heck of a lot of jigs in one of those boxes. We use plastic boxes for years you see I put all the droviders back in which will give you 18 compartments but the way that you done it you're able to put a lot more jigs and of course the different color combinations you don't have to worry about mixing them definitely like your hackle jigs they look terrific..
i have my jigs i make in a small plano box.its the same size box as the trout magnet 152 piece kit.
I found this style at wally world in whats left of there craft dept. It cost around 4.00 the foam is cuts from a swim noodle and cemented in with elmers rubber cement.Your right it will hold quiet a few jigs in there.I use these as a set up at trade shows and swap meets I go to,makes it fast and easy to set em up.
Thanks for the kind words on the jigs snake river.
