Lookout Crankbait!!

Went to local bait shop today to find all the newest, latest, greatest Bandit colors on the shelf..Some purty ones too.. Co worker didnt believe you could spend a 'Ben Franklin' on these so we made a friendly wager..when the total on 20 of them came to 104$ and some change he was forced to buy 3 of the cranks and the 'BnM' crappie fishing DVD.. He was upset but when I pulled 2 25$ gift cards out to finish the purchase I thought he was gonna cry. It was interesting watching them pull cranks on Sardis:D:D:D

Took me less than 6 months to get 130 or so of them. Think Maj has over 100 and that was before he ever put a single one in the water

i have about 400 .. but alot of them are green carp baits.

Well, Being a former green carp chaser, I have numerous to start with and that is a plus. However, I'm just like the rest of you when it comes to new colors and colors that are not in your current collection. Guess you could compare that to a woman and her shoes. A different color for evry outfit.

What i hate is when you find THE color that works u only have 2 in your case.

Slabo I can't help it.. My co-worker was stil furious today. I had to buy him dinner to settle him down today. No sense of humor I guess

I'm ready to start learning it myself. I've got about 40 cranks now hoping to get some more this week and order me some okumas soon as well. Can't decide if it's best to use my old green carp rods or to use my trolling rods

Killer, I know from my brief experience pulling that you will need rods with a lot of backbone. Not only because of when you get a fish on, but also because of when you get snagged in grass or hung up on a stump. When something is caught or snagged or hung-up, you will have a time delay between when it actually happens and when you are able to react to it while still keeping the boat under control. I use B&M pro trollers in 10 and 12 ft, and NO, I am not compensated in any way by B&M.

That's why you always buy at least 4 of the same color most time 6.:D;)

Blue, your being too easy on your buddy. I'd see if he wanted to go double or nothing on whether or not you can spend more than a hundred on one swimbait. :)

Believe it or not, I actually held a custom swimbait that sold for $350 per copy. Gingerly, very gingerly.

Thanks Maj, I was thinking of useig my spider rigging poles, they are Wally Marshel tight line specials in 14ft and my BnM capps/coleman trolling rods also 14ft. Also have several old BPS Green Carp sticks from my old days of bass fishing that Im gonna try to use.

set your drag loose, that way when you get hung up, it'll pull your drag out instead of breaking your pole

Don't think you're gonna like those C&C rods for crankbaitin'. They are mighty whippy. I like them for spiderriggin though.

U only need 3 colors on the CORPs lakes. Awesome Pink, Black, and Ole Miss. If you can't catch them on those colors you don't need to be fishing.

What is Ole Miss color

It'd be mighty hard for me to put anything called Ole Miss in my boat.

buying Hoddy Toddy but since it WAS PANK, I got a laugh out of it and was able to buy a couple

Ole Miss is a Wally Marshall bait. Its red, blue with a little pank and white.

I ordered a couple of the Hoddy Toddy's from Bandit the other day though. Have to go BACK to BP and see if they have any of that color Wally

Bandit has too many colors. WM only has about 12 so easy a cave man can do it.

I like the Wally Marshal crankbaits.
