Wouldn't that be the gift of a lifetime? Wow...... :)
On the unclaimed prizes list, someone won $200K and hasn't claimed it. It expires 4.29.10!

Be Glad To Run The Trolling Motor For Ya, Rugs!!
RATS!!! Had I won, crappie camp would have gone on till 2011---for EVERYBODY!:)
Kinda puts Marshall on the map for a while though.
Sounds like the young couple that won is finally a deserving pair they said they live paycheck to paycheck and had 27 bucks in the bank,i love it.
He seemed very humble on TV but I'm sure he'll be in for so many attempted scams it will be unbelievable. Hopefully he'll have some sound financial advice and will be fixed for life. I wish him the best. :)
well if you have ever seen the shows on the people that have hit the lotto more than once and are bankrupt I hope the first thing they do is put a good lawyer on retainer. The second would be to find a good financial planner.
Good luck to the young couple and I wish them nothing but happiness.
Congrats to him! What a blessing if he stays grounded.
He said he was going to use the jackpot to pay bills, LMAO, he has enough money to pay all of our bills. :) I couldn't even imagine, I wouldn't even go home and pack.:p
I don't begrudge the young couple but..........spending money on POWERBALL tickets when you have $27 in the bank is just assinine! That being said, I wish them much happiness.
I agree, that's why I'll NEVER win a lottery because I work wayyyyy toooo hard for the few bucks I get to "play" with. I'd rather scrape up a few $$ here and there to take a gamble and fish with you! and it has ALWAYS paid off for me.
I think they opted for the lump sum and divide by half for the Govt. take.
Still a nice chunk of change.
i watched the news coverage on it the other night, seen the mayor droppin the hint that it would be nice to have a new school, good grief:eek:
they havent even gotten the money yet and already have beggers comin outta the woodwork.
first thing to do is get the check and haul a$$! move somewhere new where nobody knows ya then hire a lawyer and financial advisor
Judging from the fact that they pulled the winning numbers Wed night and he claimed his prize as soon as the lottery office opened Thurs am, I'm guessing he didn't take the time to consult with a tax attorney beforehand, or set up a trust through which to claim the $, etc. Hopefully he pays his utility bills off, takes a deep breath, and then starts looking for some good advice.
My wife was in that break time yesterday and there was a stack of hand delivered letters from charity's churches and even our mayor was begging for money for the schools. I'd tell that bi#%& to kiss my a$$. If he takes the lump sum he'll be paying $60 million in taxes.
