Just got back from my lunch "hour" and the water pump is replaced, the gaskets on the thermostats are replaced, the lines and hoses have all been inspected and the steering and hydraulics have all been inspected. Left to do is an adjustment on the hotfoot and a bearing look see. Oh, and the obligatory 8 hour on the water test complete with trolling motor workout and livewell testing. :)Quote:

That boat is gonna give anybody here a run for the money. 175 turned up to about 220 hp, Detwiller Hydralic Plate, trim on wheel, Got a custom Tempest that's a 26, I think cupped up a notch. I think I'm not sure, but I think it's gonna come in 70ish light. Just think, I can fly all over the lake and not catch any fish now, instead of being stuck in one spot with no fish.

WB, gonna be a BIG DIFFERENCE in gas consption with that motor and a 50hp. I used to be able to piddle around all day with a 40hp on just a few gallons...NOT ANYMORE.
DD over 50 and stuff starts to bend. 60 and stuff becomes projectiles BUT you gotta love that speed!
WB, me and you will race to the no fish spots on the Rez
He will see a big difference when he hooks that small truck up to it for sure.
He'll see what I see coming up North to fish. Called being able to watch the gas needle move down towards empty. It takes me a 1/2 tank of gas to get to Grenada and back without the boat and a tank and a half with it. OUCH
