Boat for Sale-Need a little help

My wifes grandfather is in the nursing home and I have been asked to help sell his boat. Im a hunter, not much of a fisherman.

It is a LOWE almuminum boat with two swivel seats, live well, stick steering, and a 2002 Nissan 25 HP motor. It has been used very little since the motor was put on. The boat has a trailer and I think it is a 1984 boat. I took it the boat shop and had them service it and everything works fine. It does not have a trolling motor.

How do you put a value on this? I know nothing about boats.

What is the length and width or atleast the model of the boat? That will let folks that know this type boat give you a better idea of a fair value.

paperwork says it is a 15ft boat but it does not say a model number. It appears to be a regular width. Not skinny like a trout boat or wide like a duck boat. I may can find some info on the boat itself later today. Thank you all for all your help. I also have a pic on my phone.

Might help if you could take a picture of the boat and post it on here. There is also a forum for selling stuff on here. You'll have to get somebody that knows how to help you post the picture.

Don't know where you're located, but there is a website, #1 Website for all that is El Dorado, Arkansas that is great for listing stuff for sale. And the classified is free. We've had a lot of luck selling on this site. And if you can post a picture with the listing that's even better.

Once you settle on a price, try listing it under ebay local classifieds. I tried the local paper, auctions, listing on this site but did not get any real serious offers until I listed under ebay local classifieds. Best of luck and hope you get a good price!
